I agree that crate can be a very nice person but she is also the leader and at some point she has to take some responsibility. The biggest thing I notice is rather than putting her foot down and making sure her team isn’t retarded she covers for them. Not only me but other leaders that I’ve talked to always describe the same thing. Scrims consist of constant shittalk regardless of winning or losing and if they lose half the time they leave for no second half. It’s very obvious they tilt out of game but crate not only doesn’t try to get them back in but covers for them and lies to other leaders saying they are gonna do a map review or a demo review as if not to damage their reputation. To quote one leader “it’s like everything that comes in is from the pr department” and it’s very annoying. Crate may not be the offender but she not only tolerates it but covers for it.

reasons you are wrong:
1.) ESEA brought IM back and has more teams than I believe ever, even in s15 when main was introduced they capped at 85 teams throughout all divs, While the current season has 111 teams
2.) ETF2L this season added 2 new divisions by splitting their high div into Div 1 and Div 2 and adding the fresh meat division below their previous lowest div open.
3.) There has more non-tf2 related sponsors coming into tf2 for at least a couple of seasons now. Examples being Fable, Twisted Sin, Faint, Velocity. of which Velocity is staying for this season sponsoring both invite and IM.
edit: not to discount the tf2 related sponsors such as ascent, svift, kings crew, TFCrew, omni5
