#52 What the hell do i do in this situation. in Off Topic

In college, like larger universities they usually talk about the basic important stuff because the professors have alot of research/other activities outside of a 50/hr-and-half min class. But its your responsibility to teach yourself the rest. I am serious about this... I know it sounds strange but most classes will not spoon-feed you information. Even in high school, you should be getting into the habbit to actually look at your books and have it supplement your normal class. They can only show you so much. If there is something you dont understand, talk to classmates or the teacher before/after class (unless you get a chance to ask in class).

Pretty much what 2c said...

2cthe earlier you get in the habit of relying on books instead of teachers the better tbh

#15 How do you stop an aggressive team? in Q/A Help

Incoming long thoughts...

To me, aggression means you're playing by their terms - their game.

As for mids, you could try changing focus, get a pick [ie. jumper] and immediately walk across point together. This works great for maps such as snake [ie. both soldiers catwalk]/(sometimes)granary [***scouts play uptop***-> follow up your soldiers jumps ASAP]/ badlands [everyone choke, but demo/scout by balcony].

As for transitions, make sure everyone has a line of sight. Even try getting one of your scouts to "scout" tell whats in front after a buff. And the other to lag behind a little to have "sight checks" on areas behind [ie. flank spots/backcaps based on players left up on other team's failed push] . But keeping everyone relatively close to respond to dangers that can immediately be followed up by the other team, if not taken care of quickly.

So...
*Identify key issues for mids, adjust accordingly. [Are your agg players being followed up? Do we need to deal with an issue quickly, then follow up? etc]
*Try to stick together with clear sight lines on potential flanks/aggression [scouts/roamer and combo mentally]
*make the other team play your game, not theirs

#49 Fully Charged: Questions for Killing/Kalkin? in TF2 General Discussion
ColeWhat happened to the individual weapon statistics for each player? Unless I missed something they weren't there this season.

Good question, here is the link to Bdonski's q/a to ESEA developers - http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/12133/1#post-191518

Fzero is super-chill. I enjoy pugging/playing with him. Definitely a reliable backup.

#17 Mouvement practising in Q/A Help

Someone might have already said this, but there are Reddit mge servers that allow you to do medic v anything (med v soldier is nice to get those rocket surfs down to an art :P). When I have a chance I'll find the IPs and update my post with those.

tr_newbots is nice to practice some simple surfs.

Any ultiduo is good to practice dodging and movement with your pocket v another combo.

Edit: this should be it... south.tf2.rugc.us:27205 (atlanta) and red.happyfarmers.co:27016 (Germany if you are European)

#5 ESEA suggestions in TF2 General Discussion

Nice write up. I was wondering what happened to the stats we had a season or two ago (weapon stats/class stats/etc).

#5 mumble/deathadder issues in Q/A Help

Yeah that's strange, because I have a 2013 as well. But I have not experienced the glitchy movement while running mumble. However, I do have this program (that I need to delete) which has some problems with it's driver that I close upon startup, which causes the strange mouse movement that you speak of. With that said, it could be another program causing the glitchy movement.

I would suggest trying to change settings for both mumble and synapse both to run under admin privileges when started. Worth a try...

Look for the executable file of the both programs (ex. By default it should be in C:\Program Files\<program>\<program>.exe).
Right click <program>.exe, then click to Properties.
Go to Compatibility.
Under Privilege level, put a check on 'Run as administrator".
Click OK.
This will cause this program to always run as administrator (I believe).

Give this a go and see if that helps you.

I am ready for some more q-fix madness. Thanks Extine. It's nice to see you're getting back into the casting scene.

#12 Losing interest in TF2, but.... in TF2 General Discussion

Fog if you ever need help or assistance in running servers/coding/etc. I'm totally up for it. As for your decision on quitting, I support whatever makes you happy. Its what I would do for all my friends. Just throwing my name in the hat or at least for assistance later on down the road.

Best of luck (do what makes you happy). You're always a part of my team, even if we're on different teams. :)

#19 Mechanical Keyboard Switches in Hardware

I personally like the Cherry MX Red. It's not too loud and they have a fast response time.

Not sure if anyone posted this -- http://www.overclock.net/t/491752/mechanical-keyboard-guide. Read Manyak's post no. 3, "Common Key Switches."

It's $5.00 (less than one month of ESEA premium kiddos). lol :) I'm getting one. HYPE. I hope the production crew gets a nice cut of the proceeds.
