Is there any opportunities to become a mentor for these?

#109 players you cant pug with in TF2 General Discussion

Generally anyone who is more interested in talking about how "bad" a player on the other team is and dragging themselves into a chat BM war with that person on the other team.

Instead of you know, just playing the game and not clogging comms.

Like who cares, if you're better than them just prove it in the game.

#5 Slin talks whitelist, atomizer and base jumper ban in TF2 General Discussion

I understand and respect the majority of these views but like I seriously don't know how you expect the community to get behind the devs again. They've dropped the ball continuously with these changes and it isn't even like its just some unlucky one off. Patch after patch has just been filled with pointless nerf, buffs to already obnoxious weapons and the list goes on.

And I'm sure we all know why we have ban lists, its not some ungodly arbitrary fuck you or refusal to accept to the entirety of Valve's effort. Its because we essentially tried to keep the competitive game as fun as possible and this has always been a point of contention when it comes to weapon and even class bans. What is actually fun to play?

On top of that I think its incredibly close minded to say we're the only community that endorses banning things in a competitive scene and just sit and complain about it on the forums until it gets fixed. League and Dota both have pick/ban systems simply for the fact, in certain patches characters may just be straight up just fucking unfun to play against and putting a lot of the other information developers can take in. Ban lists are usually a pretty good indicator when something is a problem. But at that point I suppose that requires too much mental input from devs to say "why is it banned?"

If they themselves can't figure it out, its pretty evident from the decisions they make that for the most part. They really do not listen to player feedback about the weapons and clearly do not value it. If that was the case we'd still have a clear communication tunnel with Valve where perhaps, this meeting could've gone in depth explaining inherent weapon flaws and give them serious input as to why the weapons fall flat. Maybe I'm being rude towards the developers but they have shown so little understanding of their own game and as someone who has watched it change over the past 7 years its super frustrating.

#301 Global whitelist unveiled in News

I really don't understand the mindset here. I could understand if this was perhaps done literally as Season 22 ended where we could've said "okay, lets just leave everything unbanned for right now then just come to a decision as to what to ban after a long period of testing."

But instead no lets just pull this fucking white list out of no where that not only affect esea literally HOURS before the season starts but also affects the entire competitive community and we have no say? Just here this is what you get, run with it?

You could not have executed this any worse.

#55 Time for Na & Eu to start using the same ruleset ? in TF2 General Discussion
Trotz21https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PI4vcg6pv8Y

Na rule set seems more effective, at least two mid fights compared to Eu where only one mid fight is a possibility.

I've never understood this point like yeah I get it, assuming its literally the most miserable game ever you can get at least 2 mid fights in but you're still sitting through the rest of two 30 minute snore fests instead of just one.

#21 Game Theory Tf2 vs OW Deadlock in Videos

I think this video just made me mad because of how uninformed both sides sound, especially on a gameplay fronts.

Also half of the points about the games don't even matter.

What the fuck does how many girl characters a game have over the other have to do with which is better.

#27 The future of tf2 and i58 in The Dumpster

I imagine i58 will probably be the last international lan we have unless we have a very sudden and large player boost which I personally do not see happening. Overwatch is the newer game and thus is just going to pull more player interest, is getting as far as I can see pretty active developer feedback and the game is just thriving with pros from other games.

On the flip side outside of the two or so posts addressing some major issues that even then took collective community outrage in order to get Valve to even shed a word of information but that has always been the biggest issue is. For whatever reason Valve just does not feel that it is necessary to let the community know what they are currently doing with the game despite the TF2 Blog almost being made for that purpose and TF2 itself being so full of community input from simple bug fixes to entire updates and yet. We get spoon fed information and are allowed to offer little to no feedback outside of just a few people in the community and even then that feedback seems limited.

Like I don't think there is any person in this community that would ever think the Mediguns buff was a good idea and yet, it happened. Crit-a-cola got a balance change that solves literally nothing. The Sydney Sleeper got another buff. All changes that just indicate a lack of understanding of anything. Even down to applying very little of the 6s meta we already know and I understand that is dictated by weapon bans but the current matchmaking ruleset does not even come close to the actual competitive format played outside of being a 6v6 mode. Less of a bridge more of another way for the game to confuse people.

Even outside game support is redundant, all news about leagues, events and everything else competitive related just out of the way and yeah we got a post about i55 and the ingame notification for S21 grand finals but other then that there is next to nothing about competitive events going on so we just get the minimal exposure.
