Jimmy's right bicep is even more heartwarming than the eyes of a puppy.

HMU if you're down for Borderlands 2 :)
Don't use MGE to try and improve your game. If anything, you'll probably end up building bad habits if you try and apply MGE play into comp play. The mindset used in MGE and scrims/matches are too drastically different to try and synchronize. I know for a fact that MGE is a big culprit for my tunnel-visioning problem. Rather, use it as a warm up tool and don't waste too much energy on it. Scrim, pug, and demo review. Those are probably the best ways to evaluate and improve your performance.
We all start somewhere! Sounds like you guys just need some work on fundamentals. I'd be glad to help you guys out.
I like to chill in elo-less MGE servers because there are less mental factors to affect how people play. No one has reason to be intimidated by my elo rating, nor does anyone who would have a higher one have any reason to be overconfident or play annoyingly just to preserve theirs. I think people practice and play best when there is no extra pressure or doubt, which elo can bring. I play MGE to warm up, relax, and improve my horrible shotgun aim, not to deal with someone who fears losing their precious points and butt-soredly types "Nice counter-jumps" to every person they legitimately lose to.
Personally, I use 75Hz on a CRT at 1024x768. I have an LCD that can do 60Hz and 75Hz at 1280x1024. The difference between 60Hz and 75Hz on the LCD isn't too dramatic, but the difference between 60Hz or even 75Hz on the LCD against 75Hz on the CRT is pretty astounding. On the CRT, things just move more fluidly above 75 FPS and the smoother experience really helps with the pace of the game. Going back to the LCD makes me cringe now, despite it having a slightly crisper image. Granted, I'm not using super amazing monitors (the LCD is a Dell from 2002 that I found next to a dumpster and the LCD is a pretty average 8ms HP). However, before using the CRT primarily, I didn't really realize that smoother gameplay existed. Just some food for thought :)
Just wanted to point out that I got a WMO and IMO for $5 a piece at my local Goodwill (they usually carry a few). But I'd definitely pay $30 for them. Great mice, but don't forget to check your local thrift stores. Those places can be treasure troves ;)
Goat_BenroadsHUD Illuminatithere's also a groups for that but don't tell anyone

I'VE CRACKED THE CODE! (Actually, Google did)
potIf someone's spending their money they want something out of it.
I'll donate to huey/hooey/hewey/hiuiuiy if he gives me a new computer.
Sounds like you have cord issues. If you've got a spare mouse lying around, there's a good chance you can just swap out the cord with a little tinkering. I did this when I had that issue with my good ol' Razer Diamondback, and it worked like a charm. This also goes for people with the infamous cord issue with the G400/MX518.
This video explains the general idea of replacing cords: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ml9_cvGZur4
xbRoot_maybe if you improved your grammar and spelling, your mouse would fix itself!if only i was a super nerd who actually paid attention to that stuff
If only you had the common courtesy/sense to be clear and coherent when trying to get people to help you out with your problems, then maybe those people would be able to help you more quickly.
Relevant to your issue: Do what kwahlster suggested and type "-attack2" in console. Sometimes TF2 bugs out and registers a continuous keypress. For example, if you find yourself moving forward without pressing W, then you'd have to type in "-forward" to fix it. This happens with me and "+attack" all the time.
For various reasons. Many "experienced players" got their start in the era of 4:3 (and maybe even 5:4, for that matter), so it's a resolution they've become comfortable to. It does turn down FOV, but some say that it helps with concentration/focusing. Haven't really heard of the models looking bigger, though. In the end, however, like most things, it all just comes down to preference.
I've had TF2 running since before the update and now I don't know if I want to quit it now or ever :/
Are you running in DirectX 8 mode? If so, that's normal. Can't do anything to change it AFAIK.
