oppebo is really good and really nice
Leading a team can also be a great learning experience and an opportunity for personal growth. Take the plunge and it can be incredibly fun and rewarding!
They've been a good scrim partner. pluribus is nuts. Try out!
bearodactylin open it's only like $5 or something
The fees in open really add up. Per player, you end up spending about $30 in a season. With 6 players, all of a sudden it's about $180. Add in a sub or two (or roster changes) and you can easily go above $200 for a single team. There are a lot of open players who can't pay their own fees, so if a team leader is in a situation where he or she has multiple teammates who can't pay for themselves, giving an org exposure in exchange for league+premium fee coverage makes a lot of sense.

He was solid when I played with him a few seasons ago in preseason. I'm sure he's only improved. Try him out!

I have nothing but respect for UGC teammates making the jump to open. Try out for them and see how it goes!
I'd do what I already do alongside TF2. Play a mix between Overwatch, CS, and Quake, along with some strategy and racing games. I'd probably eventually settle into one of those first three as my "main" game, but I don't think I'd ever become so involved in the competitive scene in another game, like I have in TF2.
