I'm sad that I missed out on a lot of this great casters everybody's bringing up, but I feel lucky that I got to see some great matches casted by Gecks. I absolutely loved his casting and it really helped me enjoy watching competitive TF2 as I was first getting into it

Talked to Tri- barring unforeseen changes, we'll be playing with a single conference this season! Thanks for everybody who gave their feedback in the original thread, and everybody who helped me encourage teams to swap conferences. Thank you to the team leaders, most of all, for following through. S25 is going to be awesome thanks to all of you. I'm looking forward to watching great games all season long!
Console is cool and has a good attitude towards improving
Citricpls make open more fun
We still have 11 teams not in central. I've got in touch with a few of their team leaders, but I don't know a lot of them or couldn't quickly find them. Please check the open standings page, and see if you know a player or two from any of the teams currently in the eastern conferences. They need to talk to their team leader to get the roster moved.
For any team leaders who doesn't know how (one team leader asked me) to switch conferences: Go to your team page, click Manage Team, then change the Location dropdown to Central.
edit: apparently that isn't working to change conference, so try sending in a support ticket. an admin should be able to move you!
Hello open team leaders. If you want to have the best season possible for all involved, please move your roster to the central conference. I made a thread to gauge people's thoughts, and you can read it there if you want. Long story short: Splitting up into two conferences is awful. It leads to high and low open teams having only a few (I'm not exaggerating... maximum 4 or 5) competitive, worthwhile matches PER SEASON. It leads to imbalances in seeding for playoffs because one conference is usually stronger than the other. It leads to teams playing against each other more than once, even if their first match was a roll.
I've talked to Tri, you can see some of the chatlogs in the thread. Basically, if every team is in the central conference, Tri will set it up so that all the servers are available for that conference.
Please, please, please- if you want to have a fun season, move your roster to central. Through more than a year of playing with split conferences, everybody has hated it. It doesn't have to be this way. Please pass this along to any team leaders who you know.
Best of luck this season, have fun :)
I've played with Cobalt a lot, she absolutely has what it takes to play in open playoffs on a good team. Schedule might be tough, but definitely worth trying her out!
I'm surprised he hasn't found a team yet. Good DM, good decision making, has everything you could ask of a solid open roamer. He's also a great teammate and a cool dude, try him out!
murkscribe will be a great team leader, no matter what the roster ends up being you are guaranteed to join a team that tries hard and scrims a lot to improve
Oppebo is right, you're better off building a better pc first if possible
I've played in quite a few scrims with them this preseason, and it's probably the best mumble environment I've ever been a part of. Calm, focused, easygoing, but motivated. I've really enjoyed playing with them every time they've asked me, I can't recommend trying out for this team strongly enough.
ruwin is streaming overwatch a fair amount, just comp queue stuff. I think he's been doing an intensive program in computer science or something along those lines
Large Lobed Lads will be making their esea debut, and i'll be mentoring/coaching them. Will update roster as they confirm more players
