ununGermany losing to Japan just brightened up my day considerably

Even more updates / answers:
-> One more team signed up for open before the deadline, bringing our total up to 16 teams and maxing out our tournament! This means open will run an 8-team group and invite a 7-team group (one more open team will join saturday because their players cant make it in time on friday). The top open team will then qualify for invite knockouts.
All other teams are free to join the b-tournament or Highlander tournament. Though at this point it seems unlikely there will be enough Highlander teams. The b-tournament will feature BO2 / BO3 matches. For this we will probably split open into a high and a low bracket in order to avoid heavily lopsided matches on day 2. Games start at 13:00 on saturday.
-> The Silly Hat Contest that takes place on saturday evening is in fact a REAL LIFE HAT contest. Bring your silliest hats and wear them well in order to win this highly prestigious competition!
-> Check out time for your hotel room is 12.00 noon.
If you need to kill some time before your departure but are too tired to go sightseeing, you are welcome to hang out in the hotel bar area or the Arcade (opens at 13.00).
-> World Cup matches are not going to be shown at the event or the hotel bar.
-> You will not be able to install programs on your rental PCs without the permission of an RCADIA employee. Unfortunately this does mean that they have to come to your seat and type in the admin password every single time.
Discord, Steam / TF2, Mumble, OBS and winrar will be pre-installed.
We are aware that this is not awesome, but it is nothing that is within our power to change. As long as you do not wish to install something fishy, they will grant you permission though (from what I gathered).
-> You do NOT need to pick your seat. We have done that for you.
-> For the TF2 Pub Quiz on friday evening LAN casting legends TurboTabs and eepily will be your showmasters!
Argentina losing to Saudi-Arabia just brightened up my day considerably
Also updated the toornament page:
- updated the ruleset (eliminated the passages about BO2-matches and adjusted the pick-ban system for knockouts)
- updated prizepool split
- added detailed schedule
- created Invite group fixtures. Those won't change anymore (99%)
- added the RCADIA Stream to the watch section (make sure to follow the channel and turn on notifications!)
- created knockout stage and its fixtures
- added map pool. group stage will only feature cp maps (because koth messes with tiebreakers). 2 koth maps will be added for the knockout stage. The maps are all played in the ETF2L autumn season.
It's schedule time! It is still subject to change, but the friday will not change anymore (99%).

It’s fine. Schumacher will be Mercedes Test Driver Next season and then either take over if Lewis calls it a day or drive for AUDI when they join.
Still a disgrace how Haas handled this whole thing imo.
Fresh off the press: the latest news for next weekend (time flies, doesn't it?)
Unfortunate news first... a sponsorship deal fell through at the last minute due to a restructure of the marketing department of our partner. There are currently still talks about a sponsorship with another entity, but we may have to get used to the idea of doing this without additional support.
HOWEVER the RCADIA stepped up and kindly increased the prize pool since we reached our ticket goal! Thanks to every participant and spectator they will add 1.000 €, bringing the total up to 2.500 €!
In other news - as promised - we have awesome side events / evening entertainment lined up. You haven't seen the tweet already?
After the games ended each day you can hang out in the Hotel Bar - where the tournament matches will also be streamed during the day - and participate in a TF2 Pub Quiz (Friday), the Silly Hat Contest + Beerpong (Saturday) and a round of End-of-the-LAN Karaoke(Sunday). They even serve TF2 themed snacks and drinks just for this occasion!
Please note that ticket sales will close this friday, 18th november, at midnight!
So you better get on with booking your ticket!
We are also currently finalising the tournament schedule. After our hosts have approved it, it should be ready to be announced as early as tomorrow night!
Everyone who bought a ticket will receive a couple of E-Mails from RCADIA in the coming days leading up to the event with important information about a variety of topics. So make sure to have an eye on your inboxes.
DuMmTmwhat stream will the matches be on
Yet to be decided. Might stream it on the RCADIA channel.
DomoCatFaceWill the 4 way power sockets be provided by the event?
Yes. German power sockets might be different to yours though so you may need an adapter if you are bringing your own setup.
Quick update:
- 80/80 rental PCs have been sold. If you want to participate but need a PC to play on, feel free to reach out. Maybe another participant could bring their PC afterall or might have a second machine.
- 83/100 monitors sold. If you consider bringing your own setup but you are short on hands, you can consider renting only a monitor and bringing your PC. We still have a couple of those left!
- 12 teams have signed up. So far 7 would like to play invite, 5 open. Should there not be another invite signup, we will have to play an online qualifier round in order to cut invite down to 6. In this case the top 2 open teams would qualify for the knockout stage.
- All in all 96 player and 9 visitor tickets have been sold.
- The RCADIA is barrier-free and as such accessible for wheelchair users and people with disabilities.
You can access all areas with the spectator ticket. The difference is just having a seat and desk as well the right to participate in the competitions.
So as you probably have seen in the regularly updated FAQ post on page 1, we have currently sold 76 / 80 rental PCs.
I am just alerting you to the fact that there are only 4 more machines available. Just today I received the information that there probably won't be additional ones for us because another event is happening at the same time. If you considered booking a rental, you should do so ASAP!
Speaking of ASAP: if you want to join the invite bracket for the event, please sign up by the end of next week (until 13th Nov.) We might need to do online qualifiers between the 14th and 20th.
All in all, 10 teams have signed up until now. The ideal number (and a TO's wet dream) is exactly 16 teams. Seeing as we sold 90 player tickets so far, this should be within reach.
We will draw up a more detailed schedule in the coming days for a 16 team tournament.
Stay tuned!
MightyMeLooks like it's going to be a great LAN.
Unfortunately our group had to pass because starting Friday morning until Sunday evening is not possible for most of us (Work, kids, etc)
Have fun all
Games start friday at around 1 pm and if you are not playing invite in 6v6, you do not need to stay until sunday evening! There are no games on sunday unless you absolutely want to possibly play some ultiduo.
Singups for Highlander are open!
https://play.toornament.com/en_GB/tournaments/6136996214205054976/
Note: you can only participate in this if you either got knocked out of the 6v6 tournament or did not participate in the 6v6 tournament. This means 6v6 invite participants will definitely NOT be able to play.
LOL HL!
