I'm boycotting the tournament (Kentucky fan).
Thanks for replying. Got it working.
Also thanks to you and clockwork for wrecking me in dm
I have it! Thanks so much, everyone who helped. Will those files be in clientscheme.res and hudlayout.res?
Okay. That's not so bad, I guess. I don't really play many other classes where it would matter, I guess.
Now, where can I find yz50's version in his hud/cfg?
Well, I really don't care that much if I had to use it for primary, secondary, and melee (as long as it's only on scout). I've actually figured out how to use the default crosshair just for primary, but I don't think it'll work the same way with konrwings.
Sorry- I know there are 34385438574 threads about crosshairs, but I can't find one specific enough to my situation so that I can actually do it myself. And I know almost nothing about TF2 configs and huds and such.
I'm using a cfg generated by tf2mate and omphud (OMP IF YOU READ THIS I LOVE YOU). The tf2mate thing included broesel crosshair switcher, and doesn't give me the option to use konrwings as a crosshair for just my scout primary like I want to. I really want yz50's version of it, the symmetrical one. I like the green dot in the middle too. If someone could explain to me how to change my files so that I'll get this crosshair instead of the cross I use now (with the broesel crosshair switcher thing), that would be great. I'd also like to keep my settings in the crosshair switcher for everything else, like viewmodels, fov, etc. for all classes. If I left stuff out that is necessary to you helping me, let me know! :D
Thanks!
I'm either going to get the 660ti or the Raedon 7870 for my build- Which would you recommend, AMD or Nvidia? I'll have an Intel i5 3470, if that matters. My mobo is http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-gab75md3h
Giga^^^ Take preston up on his offer, super nice guy and good soldier!
I did! :D
kirbyI'm kind of disappointed with the direction tf2mix took. Most pugs consist of people complaining over and over and not realizing 3/4ths of the people who player there are new and learning. It's kind of frustrating too. I feel bad for a lot of the people who have to deal with it but there's nothing I can do really.
#20 do newbie mixes for "I'd like a group with a few experienced players in it who are willing to help newer players"
I agree with you on tf2mix- I'm often the subject of such chastisement. My issue with newbie mixes is that they do not occur frequently enough- and I'd rather play in a group with people who have a fair amount of 6s experience. Enough that they know the rollouts, have an idea of when to do what, etc. You generally don't get that in newbie mixes. Still, I play newbie mixes whenever they occur.
RoyceDMLTerraWhenever I've played tf2mix, it hasn't always been the best experience (team mates are jerks, always complain, etc.). I still play it a pretty good bit, but I'd like to find a pug group where people will actually help me improve instead of making fun of me/yelling at me because I'm not freaking clockwork. You should try out an in house pug group like Power Pugs. In house pugs are usually a lot more relaxed and friendlier than the ragefest you usually get from IRC pugs.
I'd maybe like a group with a few experienced players in it who are willing to help newer (but not like no 6s experience kind of new) players improve/practice. I guess kinda like newbie mixes, but for people with a little more experience and more frequent.

I know there are tons and tons of people like me, but if anyone is feeling super generous and would like to go over DM tips, watch demos, talk about gamesense, or stuff like that, please add me on Steam! Thanks.
