Far Cry 4, maxed without anti aliasing or motion blur. Runs surprisingly well, although I've since dropped a few things down to the setting one down from Ultra because I had a few crashes.

Streching Windowed Borderless

Knuckles_MR_SLINyou might look into one of those external programs that takes a windowed bordered game and makes it full screen?
from what I've read most if not all of these cause issues involving pixel squishing and some weird issues with sensitivity
Any method of taking a lower resolution window and trying to keep that resolution but display it on a higher resolution display is going to require pixel interpolation, no way to get around it. If you try and play in a 720p window but display it on a 1080p monitor, there has to be interpolation to scale the 1280 horizontal and 720 vertical pixels by 1.5x to reach 1080p. This is worse if you're trying to use a different aspect ratio because now the horizontal and vertical pixels need to be scaled by different factors.

KBlairAre you using DPI scaling with Windows 8? If not, how does Windows 7 handle 4k?
I like the DPI scaling in Windows 8 but some applications force disable it.
Using DPI scaling in Windows 8.1 (set apps to be bigger than usual). It's not actually too bad. My eyesight is fairly good at monitor distances and 99% of things are perfectly clear to me. Haven't really seen anything which was too small to read. On the other hand, some things get a bit blurry, noticeably Steam although this may be due to a different issue where some programs think this is 2560x1440 and so when maximised the text becomes blurry due to interpolation.
