Exited NEETdom a month ago now. Work in a hospital as a porter. Basically someone who carries garbage bins, medicine and patients around the hospital from one area to another. I do the pharmacy deliveries. May sound easy, because it is. Medicine is everything from IV fluids to small pill boxes. Mostly manual labour, moving about 150 -> 500 kg of fluids at a time in the morning, to 70 -> 100 kg of pills in the afternoon. I have cages with wheels to move the medicine around. Min wage, 8 hours/day, without lunch pay (37.5 hours/week), monday-friday. Fine since I'm living at home with no costs, so all of it goes to savings since I don't buy many things. Also fine since I only have 4 hours of work to do, so I tend to just sit and watch videos on my phone of play sudoku for a couple hours.

Interesting enough when you see people in their most vulnerable and emotional states. A guy got ditched by his mates at the entrance and I took him to A&E. His mum came in and started crying saying "My baby, my baby". Straight out of a tv show. I see a lot of newborn babies too. A few people leaving the hospital in body bags as well. A lot of crazy old people. Lot of blood. I don't really interact with patients much outside of elevators and things, but I still walk through all these wards and clinics and surgery theatres, seeing them knocked out, drugged up or having withdrawal symptoms from lack of cigarettes.

Just for the record, never sit on a hospital wheelchair unless you are actually sick and need to be brought around the hospital.
