hoaxdashnerhoaxDon't mean to be rude but what did Tagg actually do at the last event? Never really saw these photos or videos. Surely you could hire a professional English photographer for far cheaper?
I've been relying on Tagg's photo/video content almost exclusively since i52 ended. Without him the GXL intro/outro marker videos would not exist (as well as some video content coming for i55). Tagg's photos have also seen a lot of use in TFTV articles and media since i52 closed. I'm astounded someone would even say this.
Shade's content is great but in the end it's just someone going around with their phone. Tagg brings a far more professional approach and I wouldn't choose anyone else to handle TFTV's on-site media coverage.
You're missing my point. For me (a spectator) It just felt like the coverage was non existent. You can get someone else to take pictures and videos without requesting £600 from the community.
I relied on shade's and sideshow's videos instead. Which were really entertaining.
Tagg is there for the professional aspect of the LAN, not for filming vlogs of hotel room antics. Any schmuck can make a grainy video of some drunken hijinks and post them on their youtube. As a casting organization, that is not a role tftv has to undertake. However, a good picture documentation of the LAN lets viewers peek into the scene, increasing the immersion the average viewer experiences or gaining a better understanding of the environment.
