It has been a crazy week. My Dad went to prison, 25 years no parole no good behavior time off. It was a bit of a crazy trial where a juror knew my dad and someone that testified but didn't say anything till after the trial. Additionally, Oregon is currently the only state that only needs 10 out of 12 jurors to convict, the verdict was 11-1, what in anywhere else in the US would have been a hung jury. I'm not defending my dad in anyway, but these problems make me trust our criminal justice system a lot less.
Then 4 days after that my sister had her second baby. A silver lining to a shit week. She was born 6 lb 10 oz. Harper Kunkel. Cried so much holding her for the first time.
