#7 Should ESEA Open have conferences? in TF2 General Discussion

It is probably for the best that there is not conferences. It would boost the competition in the regular season, and it would also make seeding a bit better for playoffs.

Playoffs on the other hand shouldn't be single elimination. The better teams should be on top, and if the two best teams face off against each other in the second round of playoffs, then you have a team going off to win open, and the other sitting back in 8th place unable to do anything. Double elimination would likely fix it.

Conferences + Single Elim. Playoffs = Bad

SombreThanks to everyone who said we'd be out the first couple weeks, then before playoffs, then in playoffs...you really helped us rub our balls all over this league ;)

shoutout to carpool cucks, power surge and everyone else who was mad cool

You didn't wipe your balls with this league lmao. You just got an incredibly favorable seeding. Also, if you think you "wiped your balls" over us in our match, you are dead wrong. Our demo, unfortunately got incredibly sick only two days before our match. The day of the match he could barely eat. So we had our main scout play demo, and we brought in a scout sub. I don't mean to be rude, Yukari is a good player, but in my opinion, punisher is a stronger player. Punisher played his best as demo, and he did incredibly well. He almost certainly would have done better. Not to mention, Cheezus would still be doing better than pun on demo.

Your team struggled. I believe you wouldn't even be posting any of this if you had played in eastern conference. By far, the eastern conference was the more difficult conference in open. I don't want to be mean, but central conference was quite honestly a joke.

Everyone thought your team was going to be shat on simply because of actual high open eastern teams.Teams such as, Grapesquad, el classico, and high altitude dreamworld. Central conference's top 4 teams could barely compete with eastern's top 8. So, if you want to say you wiped your balls with this league, you are very wrong. Your team had an outstanding seeding. You got the easier teams in playoffs, and if it wouldn't be for ESEA's Single Elim playoffs, you would probably be standing around anywhere from 4th - 6th place. I am being generous by the way.

I do not have any ill will towards any of the other teams in open, Central or Eastern. You simply got lucky, and should be grateful that you could make it past 6th place in all of open. Either way, have fun getting fisted in IM.

TLDR: What Apt said but with more words.

gg to degenerate slayers. While we didn't have our main demo in for the match, we still did pretty well. I made some bone headed calls that shouldn't have been made. Even though we lost, I enjoyed playing the game.

I have had a lot of fun playing with Coon Platoon this season, and I am glad I was able to meet everyone on this team. I have improved a lot throughout the season. My dm has gotten quite a bit better than what it used to be, and my maincalling has improved too. I am glad that they let me play with them for a season. I have learned a lot, and have had a fun time all around. Honestly, I can't thank them enough. I have had a very enjoyable second season of ESEA, and I am glad to have gone from playing on a mid open team to playing on a 4th place team.

I am not sure what I am going to do next season, I would love to continue playing with the CP guys, but I don't see myself being able to play in IM properly unless I were to improve a whole lot in the off-season.

If I don't end up playing the next season of ESEA, I will probably try to help out newer teams to the scene. I look forward to newbie mixes coming back, and potentially coaching the mixes.

I hope that everyone has had a fun time this season in ESEA, and I would like to wish good luck to everyone in the next season.

I am looking for a full time scout, but need a ringer for for tonights map. I am very desperate, and need somebody. You can even play pocket if you want, and I could take over the scout position. I cannot pay for you, sorry about that. Thank you

#1 Looking for subs for my ESEA Open Team. in Recruitment (looking for players)

I am currently looking for a scout sub/ starter. There might be a good possibility that they will be starting though. This is currently a low open team doing their first season in ESEA, via the Newbie Mix Team Drive.

With that said, You can access our team page Here, and you can Contact me personally Via Steam.

We do scrims Monday-Thursday, so it won't be a problem fitting you in for tryouts. :)

Thanks for Reading -Freedeerf
