It's not a "cover up", it's respecting the privacy of people who wanted all of this to be private.

I am begging for the great TFTV admins to lock this thread please.
If you were so concerned with the public not knowing why they got banned, why didn't you just tell your friends the reason? Surely that is a better outcome than leaking the private reports that the victims created to prevent the public from knowing what they had to endure. Surely as someone who claims to have been a victim themselves, you can appreciate the need for secrecy and confidentiality, yet you, someone with similar experiences, decided the best course of action was to leak these sensitive documents with no regard for the victims? Shame on you. Just because one of the victims messaged people themselves about it does not give you the right to leak things. Just because RGL seemingly did not ban your stalker does not give you the right to leak these things. Just because RGL never made the reasons behind the ban public does not give you the right to leak these things. Just because another admin leaked these reports does not give you the right to leak these things. For the first time in quite a while, I think the RGL ban should be longer.
KZsighReeroIn what world is this situation funny? The lack of compassion is pathetic. Everyone just cracking jokes and assuming the worst while someone is suffering...coyo_geezerthe silence from alfa do kinda be deafening...https://i.imgur.com/uUavnEP.png
lol
Thats the fucked up thing, we don't have a clue as to what happened yet everyones bad mouthing and causing him to suffer. There are several cases where peoples entire lives have been ruined and it turns out they were innocent in the end (Johnny Depp might not be the best example but there are several for you to look up for yourselves). So we should refrain from talking ill about alfa until whatever it is sorted out, just basic human decency.
Please never compare alfa to Johnny Depp ever again
tommythat is a direct answer to the question, rgl told ugc the reasoning. if rgl wants to keep it secret its not his place to reveal it.
I didn't think defending someone's innocence until proven guilty was a controversial topic. Tommy is right, I know why alfa is banned, but it is not my place to say. It is RGL's and RGL's alone. However, it can be very harmful to call someone a pedophile, or transphobe, a sexual deviant, etc, without proper evidence. That isn't to say he isn't, just that no one knows for sure at this point in time.
randywGeneralNickI am merely pointing out that the public does not know why he is banned.
then why are you mirroring it man? have the courage of your convictions and admit your suspicion as to what the ban reason is for.
UGC is aware of the reasoning behind the ban.
aieraGeneralNick it is deleterious to call people transphobic#7
I am not defending alfa, I am merely pointing out that the public does not know why he is banned.
BrockUGC mirroring this or?
UGC will be mirroring this ban. However, it must be said that endless speculating about the reasons for a ban can oftentimes create more harm than benefit. Only the people involved and the RGL report committee can offer any insight into the ban, and if they choose not to it is their prerogative. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty, and if there is no substantiated evidence, it is deleterious to call people transphobic, or worse, pedophilic. Please exercise due caution when assigning guilt without due process.
I look forward to this map getting polished up and finalized. Seems like a really promising addition to the Ultiduo mappool.
https://forums.rgl.gg/topic/2150/dr-spy-medigun-pickup - Here is the HL version of this thread from the RGL forums. RGL did permit it to be used this season but said they would reevaluate it after the season ends. It's pretty clear that this has no place in competitive TF2, and although it probably won't be used every single match and it probably won't result in any major meta-shifts, the simple fact of the matter is, once the visual indicator of an Uber has been recognized, historically, there was no way to end that uber and retain any large amount of the charge. This isn't like a medic faking Uber by using voice commands, this is an actual glowing player, which has always meant that the other team has used. It's also pretty clear Valve did not intentionally add this mechanic to the game, and that this is just the unintended consequence of how the Source engine deals with dropped weapons + Uber.
Y'all are acting as if you've never done anything stupid in your life ever. Admins are people too - people who do some stupid things sometimes. Is it immature? Yes. Is it the proper way to engage with people? No. But people sometimes do stupid shit, we all do.
On paper, this doesn't seem like that bad of an idea, but I feel like this will walk a very tight line between success and failure. Good luck nonetheless
