Y'all are acting as if you've never done anything stupid in your life ever. Admins are people too - people who do some stupid things sometimes. Is it immature? Yes. Is it the proper way to engage with people? No. But people sometimes do stupid shit, we all do.
On paper, this doesn't seem like that bad of an idea, but I feel like this will walk a very tight line between success and failure. Good luck nonetheless
When I was doing my MD/MPH I wasn't playing TF2 at the time, but I was still a pretty active gamer. I was spending a few hours each day playing halo and black ops 1 prior to starting my degree, but once I started I noticed I started playing less each day. BOPs 2 came out a few months after my first semester so I remember wanting to spend more time playing it but I struggled to manage the workload while also playing games for several hours each day. However, by the end of my 2nd year, I noticed I was able to manage the workload and play games much more effectively, I grinded to platinum in league play by playing a few hours each day. So it certainly is possible to commit to 6s every night while also balancing school but it really is on a person-to-person basis. Someone who isn't a morning person or who likes to do labs or work in the evenings might struggle to balance the workload with games, but it can be done.
the java flavor line is heavily slept on, got me through many graveyard shifts
I am not defending much of what I see here, cause all this shit looks sketchy af, but posting clips of blind dets seems like data dredging (or p-hacking) to me. If sin streams most of his games/scrims/pugs and most of the players he plays against also stream, the ability to select clips of him blind detting automatically increases far beyond that of other demos who don't stream. I could easily be wrong (since I do not play with him or against him) and he is known across the board for these blind dets constantly. There being a handful of clips of him blind detting doesn't seem that sketchy, as people are only showing the clips of him doing anything successful with his blind dets, and ignoring all the other blind dets that get nothing.
tl:dr he probably is cheating, but cherrypicking clips of him blind detting isn't really indicative of anything on its own. I am sure you could go through streams of other demos and find them getting lucky dets too. Is he cheating? Looks like it from the offset, but the cherrypicked blind det clips seem irrelevant and only creates more of a witch-hunty environment in my opionion. Interested to see how RGL addresses this.
What a fucking character arc
Look, I like the we-hate-RGL-threads as much as the next guy, but this one makes little sense.
We are all accountable for our actions - whether IRL or online. RGL has made it explicitly clear that they will, and have, banned people for failure-to-submit demo infractions. Additionally, RGL has made it explicitly clear that they ask for demos from roughly every match that is played within RGL. If you guys want to argue about the use (or non-use) of these demos from an AC perspective, you can, but it is not a new thing that RGL has implemented. They have been requesting demos and enforcing the suspensions surrounding not being able to provide them for several months now. It is pretty likely that RGL circles back to players who failed to provide demos in the past, at least based on the frequency with which players who already have had warnings about demos get their demos requested.
Antlers knew about this rule and RGL's willingness to enforce it, and had every opportunity to be accountable and ensure the same mistakes he made before do not happen again.
I have sympathy for any player who gets banned from the game they love, but I still don't understand why people are upset. RGL has been requesting demos for months, and has never (at least to my knowledge) made exceptions under any circumstances. RGL is not at fault for following their own rules. Be accountable. Be responsible.
cleanbuddylol random demo requests except u can just upload ur UGC 4s scrim and they would never know
bruh
The Evil Within + Bioshock Infinite
In May of 2019, UGC implemented a rule that considered players from Peru and Colombia to be pseudo-North Americans. There have been 28 months of these players playing in NA divisions, and although for the first season there were some difficulties to overcome, there have been virtually 0 issues regarding these players since then. So far, all my interactions with these players have been nothing but positive, and they understand that they are playing with all the handicaps that continental SA players have when playing in NA divs but they've overcome that and have been valuable players in the TF2 competitive community.
This rule is shortsighted and alienates members of the SA community that have been playing in NA for quite some time now with little issue.
Esta regla no es justa y no es asi como debemos tratar a los buenos miembros de la comunidad.
They are already banned in RGL and pending investigation, they will be banned in UGC as well.
dovei only took down my original thread because UGC head admins said that if I called him a pedo it was considered as doxxing
This is very untrue, and you know it.
