I pretty much had the same problem with tf2, I found out that on the slowdowns my GPU wasn't used (lowish 10%) and that made my tf2 unplayable ( no it didn't overheat).
It eventually fixed itself after I tried verifying and the usual stuff.
Try re-installing tf2 or wait for an update to eventually fix it.

If you purchased the warranty with the mouse then it should be on the same piece of paper where the receipt of the mouse itself is (not sure if the right term but you should get what I mean) If you don't have that anymore check online in your user profile of newegg it should be there in your recent purchases.
If none of that works write an email to newegg or call em.

I had the problem with the locations as well, just click load directories or w/e it is called next to save directories next time.
I can't get the recording thing to work at all but I haven't tried hard.

Confront them after the game about why they didn't listen to your calls, and explain to them why it is important if they do not know and that most of your pushes fail because of it.
If they are some cocky wannabes, what sometimes is the case with lower level players then tell them that if they don't start doing what you are telling them what to do or start doing things right that you will look for a replacement.
Having a whole team discuss things in mumble helps,it also can help spotting the players that take it serious and then ones who don't.
One Last thing, watch an stv together if they don't want to do the things I already mentioned.

Totally forgot about 4G, mostly because we don't have it over here.
Not sure if those tweaks still work but I've only owned nexus devices and am happy with them.

Nexus 4 if your main usage for the phone is developing applications and testing them on it.

You're pretty late to the party but w/e
You now have to place your custom files into another folder and not into the usual /scripts and /resources
It should look like this
Steamapps/common/Team Fortress 2/tf/custom/*insertrandomnamehere*/HUD/resource
Not sure if you have to have the /HUD sub folder but I have it anyway and it works.
Also don't delete your normal /resource /script folder in /tf

Played a pickup with some 13 year old today, he had a bit of a squeaky voice and didn't know where he has to be as roamer and made stupid mistakes I didn't really get angry or w/e because I never do. Just try your hardest and don't go for spy plays or weird stuff like that and you'll be fine.
Everyone started a little insecure at the beginning but most of us are forgiving
