I think these changes are interesting, but the Shortstop's damage output is nothing compared to the stock scattergun, so to counter this maybe the shortstop could see something like a 15% tighter cone of fire or something, this will reward good aim and have better medium range damage if you aim your shots well (and medium range seems to be what the shortstop is good for but idk)

Scout in general is pretty pretty balanced class IMO. Powerful in open areas, but struggles in enclosed spaces. On an open map like Product, scouts dominate, as well as most areas of 5cp maps. but if you're a soldier and you catch a scout on his own in House on Badlands, you have a pretty good shot of winning that fight.
