#28 Remove sentries in TF2 General Discussion

Might removing sentries have the effect of teams being more reluctant to push out of last? The ability to have a scout swap to engineer and throw up a gun acts as insurance against a failed push out. Of course, this isn't something one thinks about when pushing out, but as teams get punished for pushing out a bit more, it seems to me that over time they will be slightly more reluctant to make the attempt. Might this not also have the effect of prolonging last stalemates?

I don't claim any expert knowledge; this is merely a hypothesis for you more experienced fellows to examine, then affirm or refute.

Would you be so good as to state it? I appreciate your Mathematician's Answer.

#123 What would a team of 6 yous be like? in TF2 General Discussion
SpaceCadet6 of me, a combined team age of 240, switch the number around to make 420
Find me another team that can do that with a combined age

One would only need to find someone in the community who is 34, since six times 34 is 204, thus allowing us to rearrange the digits to 420. Unless you meant an actual team; in that case, I've no idea.

#7 people with trade.tf in their names in The Dumpster

Lately a fairly large proportion of people "with trade.tf" in their names have been soldiers in the games I've played. They tend to tunnel people, either medics or players who annoy them.

It doesn't bother me.

#5 Which in TF2 General Discussion

Regular models for melee, no model for everything else. I might edit my config someday to have some of the less obtrusive ones (I use the r_drawviewmodel command on my weapon binds).

#24 most retarded weapon in your opinion in The Dumpster
StylaxWhat? It's one of the most cleverly designed weapons in the game. Risk vs reward is really well balanced.

For me, the Natascha. Just shit to play against.

I like risk/reward. I just don't like the concept of Soldier gaining the utility while hurt and taking damage with no falloff. Sacrificing your ability to shoot/reload is fair enough, but being two- or three-tapped down from distance is extremely annoying. I suppose one could argue that this just requires more careful judgment as to when to use it, so it's a matter of perspective/opinion.

However, I hereby withdraw my submission and concur with you; why is the Natascha in this game?

#7 most retarded weapon in your opinion in The Dumpster

I suppose 'retarded' has multiple subjective meanings in this context, but the Escape Plan is badly designed. I think Tagg once voiced irritation that the Escape Plan has a built-in anti-escape mechanism (no damage falloff, 135% damage hits from mid-to-long-range). A straight damage vulnerability penalty would be more appropriate. This almost certainly won't happen, since it's rate of usage is high.

#33 what would your best 6s team ever b in TF2 General Discussion

clockwork (kill things, with Australian-longshoot-man when needed)
schocky (to deny scout and soldier)
GeaR (Numlocked spoke of how few heals he took while still being the best at his time; with this combo, that's much needed)
Platinum (my heart wants lansky; my shotgun calls out for TLR; visions of airshots demand Mike; the desire for victory wins out)
b4nny (to blow things up and stay alive)
PYYYOUR (shade's escape skills are not needed, as this steamroller will rarely lose a mid)

Other guys I desperately wanted to include; enigma, ruwin, blaze, Seagull, ryb, yuki, KnOxXx.
