for running do hiit (high intensity interval training) and you'll have better workouts in general. as others have said, compound exercises are definitely preferred when trying to develop general strength and fitness. also if you shouldn't be stuck at a distance unless you have a set pace. like assuming you're not extremely unfit you could run more than 13 miles, you're just going too fast

Assuming leaving the EU was not an option, what limitations on immigration would you impose? Is it an issue of border control in Turkey, Greece and other mediterranean nations? I mean, these countries have struggled really hard to deal with the extreme influx of refugees (or migrants if you will) and to me it's absurd to think that the rest of Europe wouldn't at least attempt to share the burden (while at the same time attempting to limit the influx of refugees into these mediterranean nations)
