#16 Looking at these keyboards - any other suggestions in Hardware

Looked up Ducky keyboards. Amazon.ca didn't have any available, and Amazon.com's prices seem a little bit out of my price range (Canadian-American dollar factor).

Someone suggested Logitech G710+ to me. Not too sure on that one.

I'm leaning towards the Corsair, but I think I'd order the non-RGB K70 because it's ~$40 cheaper and comes with the WASD key caps.

#13 tr maps not spawning bots in Q/A Help

I don't have any scripts or graphics configs on my laptop. On my desktop, I use Chris' dx9frames. I had bot spawning issues on both of those.
Even with the console command though, the bots often stop spawning after a while. They're still in server, but they stop spawning to the walkway. Kicking and/or killing the bots doesn't work either.

#4 RIP Tr_walkway? in Q/A Help

Oh, they actually got around to putting a sticky on it! First week or so after the suggestion to sticky it was there, nothing was done with the thread. Good to see it's pinned up now so everyone can find it!

I'll test it out when I get home. There was implications viewmodel_fov 75 was looking bad? I'm pretty sure that's what I play with, so just curious.

#47 Language Learning Thread in Off Topic

My French is bad, and half the time I don't even know what type of French I'm speaking (In Ontario, they kind of teach you a mix of Quebecois and Parisian, it's weird). I really want to become fluent in French.

I used to speak a little Japanese when I was really young. I don't remember anything now, but I would love to re-learn at some point. I still have my kiddle grammar and alphabet books.

The most awkward time was when I started learning French. I would mix up French and Japanese vocabulary. Weird, but I was nine or so, and as far as I was concerned, they were languages, and there were no huge differences between them.

#183 GXL LAN 2015 in News

Hey guys, you want me to bring a piece of card paper again for sigs? People viewing various pictures of the LAN seemed to like looking at it to see who was there. I wish I got more than just a portion of all of you. :C

Should I just bring it anyway and shove it in your face as you simulate hats?

#1 Looking at these keyboards - any other suggestions in Hardware

Planning on saving up for a mechanical keyboard this summer so I can go to GXL with a decent keyboard (And not suck video games).

I'm looking for a full keyboard, arrow keys, numpad and all. I plan to use this for work and play, so to say. Ideally, if I can, a backlit would be nice. The one thing that made playing on my laptop tolerable, was having backlit keys.

Budget isn't a huge concern since I'm still feeling out what I like and don't like. I know from trying out some in the past that I cannot type to save my life on any Razer keyboard. I went and tried some keyboards at a store today. I found that I liked the Cherry MX Brown switches the most.

Here are some that I like:

Corsair K70 RGB (The most expensive, but also available without LED back lighting for less)
- Comes with a removable wrist rest. I hear Corsair's drivers are bad. I'll assume it's like navigating UGC's website.

Das Keyboard Model S (The store I was at did not have any models with brown switches.)

Cooler Master Quickfire XT

Those are the three off-hand I like. Do any of you have recommendations? Comments?

#11 inappropriate ads in Site Discussion

Google attempts to give you ads based either on the site's preferences, or your search history. If there is none of that for Google Adwords (Or whatever they call it now) to base off of, they frequently revert to those nice Russian and Asian singles ads.

I believe that's how it works?

#189 Razer Arena adds TF2 in TF2 General Discussion
kounterpartsRazerArena Apologies to teams who didnt manage to get their players in on time without admin assistance. We ran in to logistics issues and couldnt assign an admin to this event to assist you. These practice events are meant for you to try out and understand the platform better, so more practice events will be scheduled over the course of the next 2 weeks as we progress toward a main event. :) To teams who had to forfeit, we apologize and hope to see you in future events! (We had a great time with the EU guys, so we're confident we'll be able to make it a success for the TF2 NA community too. :D) |

Thanks for acknowledging! Hopefully things will be smoother next time round. I'd be willing to try things again.

#174 Razer Arena adds TF2 in TF2 General Discussion

Ok, so, I had some last-minute roster changes, and I wasn't able to change my starting roster. As a result people could not check in and I had to forfeit my first match. Is there any way I can contact an admin or get help?

#7 Someone explain to me how the GXL tournament works in LAN Discussion

Alright, here's the serious answer;

You form your roster of 6, and register your team. Last year, it was done through CEVO. Who knows what we'll do this year.

Every team has a preliminary three matches as seeding before double elimination and so forth beings.

Looking at some of your writing (The people above me have already picked a few examples), it's very difficult to say positive things. Many players who attend the LAN are active in ESEA 6s and Gold+ Highlander. The last thing they want is to be pestered by somebody with little to no competitive experience claiming to play high levels of any format.

If this thread has inspired you to attempt to prove you have any experience at all, go ahead, nobody is stopping you. But consider whether you want to be the laughing stock of the TF2 players at a LAN.

ObiSoo if this venue provides comps, 2v2 mge battle? (Don't think we have enough people for 6s)

Why not Ultiduo? Ultiduo is easier to set up, and I'm lazy :3
