Given the way voting is looking. I'm really tempted to go with September 5th. School for most of us doesn't start until the Tuesday after. I know it's Labour Day weekend, but it also gives me a week from when I get back to plan stuff.
I don't have a lot of choice, unfortunately. Any later, then it becomes close to GXL, not that it affects a huge amount of us.
I thought that was how ESEA LANs worked.
joejoe347If it's a thursday or friday you might lose people driving in from a few hours away (like me).
If you and Rogue aren't working, and are interested in coming, you're both welcome to crash on my couches. (There are many!)
ObiHow about a Friday Saturday?
I would rather not extend this over two days. Cost is one issue, and time is another. I was hoping we could play, then go somewhere either around there (Unlikely since the venue is in the middle of nowhere), or go out somewhere downtown (I live there, challenge me to find something).
SheoHaving it on the i55 weekend would be cool because we could play and watch the stream together, but we will be missing dashner rip.
Depends on the time that we're there, it could just be you watching recorded VODs!
EDIT: I wrote something on the UGC thread that contained more information than what I've been posting here:
Bumping this thread because there is an update!
I went to Hunter & Lucas yesterday, and they said they would be willing to help me get this event off the ground. I am posting more in the TFtv thread, which there is a link on this thread's first post. Please refer there for the most up-to-date information.
One thing that is going to need to happen is pre-registering. I don't know how much time I will have to set this up before I leave for a couple weeks, but I'll do my best. First off, we're going to need to pick a date. Help me out here: http://strawpoll.me/5115054
I'm going to set up pre-payment via PayPal, and I'm going to need people to pay there. The cost is probably going to be between $15-$25.
Pick a date, any date: http://strawpoll.me/5115054
(Keep in mind the late August dates, we will lose participants like Dashner. What if I screw up the servers?)
Cool med, and chill
I had so much fun streaming that, especially towards the end. I went until almost 1AM, two hours after I had planned to end. I want to do that again sometime, I don't know when. But I'll keep the thread posted!
P.S. Yes, I'll get you guys a time lapse of the "true" piece of artwork.
Bumping this to remind you stream starts in 3 hours! I'll even take requests on the stream chat, but posting here is still cool.
I have an idea for drawing Sideshow, we'll see how it goes.
When is i55? Dashner would be a very big help if could be around. Also I wouldn't want matches distracting from our tournament.
Hey guys, I'm at Hunter & Lucas as I write this! They are favourable to helping this event of the ground, however we are going to need to set a date. The earliest we can get for a weekend would be August 29th, a Sunday. Part of this is because I will be away for two weeks after the 7th. A weekday would allow a sooner date, but possibly lower turnout.
I want to start playing 6s more, as I feel this is many, many months overdue. I have been playing Highlander actively for two years now, almost exclusively as Medic. From the beginning of my time in competitive, scheduling has always been an issue, particularly for 6s. My schedule was too rigid to commit to ESEA, and I'm rarely ever able to play on UGC's 6s night. And thus led to two years of Highlander Medic, and its many tragedies.
Enough about that! I am interested in playing for an Open team looking for a Medic.
Add me, and we'll slowly eliminate these Highlander Medic habits I play with. (i.e. if I told you to get a pack, I am so, so sorry.)
LFT Medic for Razer tourney
Not sure where else this should go, but I guess it can be moved if need be.
Ok, so. I've been really bored the past week, I have nothing to do, and I need an excuse to draw things. So, I thought, why not draw cartoon-ish versions of you TF2 people? It won't be as serious as the drawing I did of TheFragile, probably just a simple drawing, and I may colour them in later. I've yet to decide if I want to do this digitally or on paper.
So here's how it works:
I'll be streaming Monday from 9-11 PM EST or so, depending on how I feel and how many requests I get.
If you want a player drawn, post here, PM me on TFtv, or on Steam. Link me a pic of the player (This is important, because I likely won't draw someone unless I can get a pic of them easily to know who I'm drawing.)
Feel free to put in requests between now and Monday.
