It might also be that there aren't a ton of higher level players (as in ones with that rank) but I'm just speculating

BDANN_THE_MANNNot all maps have object turning invisible, right? Which ones do/don't?
I honestly don't think that you can play any form of online tf2 with this, so you might as well just play in either dx8 or dx9
VulcanSconesi have recently found these settings (-high -nojoy-noipx-dxlevel 81) to be placed in the launch settingsdxlevel 81 makes your graphics worse, but higher fps (you can't use dx 81 for competitive matchmaking) after loading up dxlevel 81 for the first time take it out. nojoy and noipx are useless, idk about high. If you need better fps check out Comanglia's config.
What does these setting do?
You may want to include -novid to skip the video before the tf2 main menu. High I believe "forces" your comp to allocate more power into running tf2, therefore apparently giving you better performance. No idea if this does anything or helps at all but I read that somewhere on a non tftv thread (it wasn't reddit because I never go there) that high apparently has that effect on your computer when put into your launch options
leviathanTurns out m accel was built into my mouse, so got another shitty mouse with no accel and it turns out I can go 50-13 consistently now. (albeit on tf2center). I've been playing mixes, and I'm top-fragging mostly. Thanks!
avaiihnI'm in the same boat as OP other than the whole settings fixing stuff. I'm super inconsistent and I haven't improved at all for months even though im going to DM servers and doing MGE as much as I can. Every once in a while I go off and do really well but 5 min later i miss 3 easy shots on a medic and die or something like that
dunno if this will help, but try to line up with the med/any target as much as u can to hit it
I think there's a way to disable any sort of mouse acceleration if you look inside the drivers of your mouse? Depends on the mouse you're using obviously but most gaming mice will have this off by default afaik
We finally have another NA lan outside of GXL and ESEA lan (rip esea lan btw)
ScrewballEver since i started using this config my mouse cursor pops up when i open the scoreboard. Halp plz.
There should be a thing in your advanced settings to disable it. Can't remember the command off the top of my head though
Edit: found it

A lot about this topic was discussed here, but if you don't want to go through and read all of the posts made, basically it says that there are a number of invite players that don't use it mainly because they've gotten used to playing without it. It will take some getting used to if you're looking to pick this up as your preferred method of movement, but it's not impossible to play without.
Personally I like it when playing medic because I feel like I have to put less work into making my movement unpredictable, but honestly I think I could do without it when playing other classes like demo/soldier/scout. I just use it mainly because I've gotten used to it over the few thousands of hours I've put into the game
DatDrummerGuyKonceptMy point is that if you rebalance the razorback, nothing bad can come out of it. The UGC HL ban already showed how the game improved when snipers aren't using it, so why not rebalance it, make it not worth running? It will not affect 6s in any way, but will make the game better in other formats.DatDrummerGuyAlso I don't understand some people here. I get mocked for saying Razorback is OP, because it's only really OP in HL, and some people here downvote as soon as they see "HL". I mean, the Razorback is not broken in 6s, but would it hurt to fix it for the other formats? I know that 6s is better, and all, but there is no downside to making the RB worse.
The only real way to "fix" it would be to either remove it entirely or rework it so much that it almost wouldn't be worth it to try it. In terms of balancing for HL, iirc ugc banned razorback to "see how teams and players would adapt to a new way of playstyle" or something along those lines. Also imo, HL balancing should be pushed off until much later when (and if) we can reach the point where careers can be made and bills can be paid off of this game.
Why not? Why are people so opposed to this? (their point being "lolhl you suck".)
I agree that it should be looked at, but I see 2 problems
- what could possibly be changed so that it can become balanced?
- HL isn't going to be an eSports format anytime soon (it's simple math that it's easier to transport 6 people to a LAN rather than 9), so balancing towards that gamemode should be put off imo until 6s is very much thriving. I personally believe this is the reason that people on this site aren't totally in favor of HL balancing.
It's not that the razorback doesnt need to be rebalanced, but I'm pretty sure both of us could list a number of weapons that are horribly OP and need to be prioritized before this one.
Also yes I'm aware I basically repeated what Enderp said but the point he makes still holds true
XenThePybrowhats wrong with bonk? it breaks stalemates and if you let it in the game maybe people will start to agree with 6s even more because there will be less stalemates
The thing that I find the worst about the bonk is that it's rechargeable and can basically give a scout the perfect position to attack/flank from or pretty much get a free ticket to go behind the enemy team if they don't send someone to track you down. From there it's simply a 1 on 1 fight but it just seems like it'd be such a headache for many teams. Plus scout doesn't need anything that will make him as a class remotely better.
The bonk is just a bad idea for competitive gameplay to begin with. The only real way to make it acceptable for actual play would be to change the entire way it functions or to just remove it from the game entirely.
