Toxic people will be that way no matter what. So don't get too irritated by them. I know it's easier said than done but a simple local mute in mumble goes a LONG way.

Always pushing yourself to perform at your best, playing smart, and learning from the mistakes that you make will help you so much in the long run. Even if you're kind of at a "plateau" point where you're trying and not exactly getting better, seeking advice from someone that knows the ins and outs extremely well (you could ask any higher level player at the end of a pugchamp game for example) and that can help you to diagnose what you're not doing very well and work on it.

I feel like at an entry level getting to know people isn't that big of an issue. Now getting directed to people that can introduce you to the competitive game can be a daunting task, but once you're in it's pretty easy as long as you show up to pugs when they're hosted and such.

When I played more frequently in pugs where I knew I wasn't the best, I certainly struggled but I asked people that were better than me for advice, and most of the people that were experts at a certain class. Take the medic role for example. Even though pug medic is utterly awful when your teammates just want to screw around, you can absolutely refine skills like surfing, tracking ubers, and general survival.

But I will say that if you're trying to get into the upper level pugchamp games where most of the people that are added up know who is good and who isn't good, you're almost certainly going to be denied unless someone knows you.

There's certainly a skill gap for newer players to overcome, but once they've crossed that gap, things get a lot better. Just don't take the memes too seriously and practice on improving your DM a considerable amount. That alone can get a newcomer a LONG way into the competitive side of tf2.

if the names of the fonts were changed, be sure to enter the names of the new fonts that you had recently installed into huddamageaccount.res. If you've already done this, then I'm honestly not sure what else could be going wrong

Is it not already updated? I see it listed on Huds.tf so surely it has to be up to date

Also thank you Hypnotize for updating metro hud. I was looking into trying to update it myself but it was just way too old for me to really understand what I would have possibly been breaking in attempting to update it

if a word can be spread inside tf2c that people are making a mass exodus to tf2s without everyone getting banned then everything would be great

If you're looking for something similar to a deathadder, look into the gigabyte xm300. The shape seems to share a few similarities to the deathadder so that would probably be worth checking out.

Hypnotize has said multiple times already that he's not going to update it. So asking any more times at this point is literally just a waste of time

If you're that desperate, you could always learn how to update a hud yourself. Kermit made a great video on how to update a hud so possibility using that as a reference or asking in the hud editing questions thread

Unless from the start of this it's better than ESEA on multiple fronts, there's not going to be a mass exile of people to this proposed league.

We saw what happened with CEVO and where that put us. It's not the fault of the CEVO staff or people, but it's been proven over multiple occasions that unless we're getting something clearly better than what we had before (take the switch from pug.me to pugchamp for example), it's unfortunately not going to be a massive hit on all fronts.

From what I saw reading it, there were good ideas that were presented. But we as the small competitive community that we are need to see something that will either force our current standards of leagues to either raise the bar or risk losing their playerbase.
