Well if you mean the font being different just go to:
- C:\Windows\Fonts
- Delete Surface Medium
- Re-install the hud fonts

I installed that version, the font files are Blocks, COOLVETI, Icons and Surface_Medium located in resource right? I did reinstall them but it didn't fix it, weird shit. I'm not sure if I'm just being dumb rn,Puoskarifont and menu problem....
Try to download the version i just uploaded here and install the fonts again as well (right click on the fonts files and select install!). I think it was a error on my part :\
The Menu problem is unfixable, is like that in every hud and only valve can fix it but I don't think they are going to sadly.
edit: I tried verifying the game cache as well, I think it's just valve fucking with me, just like my internet only dying in tf2 fairly frequently around scrim times
Yeah the fonts are the right ones, try this one more thing if it doesn't work then i have no idea sorry.
Go to C:\Windows\Fonts and delete every surface font you can find especially surface numbers if you have it! once you did that try re-installing the fonts.

deguhey, i have a little issue with this hud, every time after launch the quickswitch menu doesn't work (it's in top right corner and i cant select anything), i have to do hud_reloadscheme for it to work, any idea what it might be caused by? i use small font customization and few edited colours
ppaleunHave a problem right now where the chat gets set to the bottom left during the scoreboard/map voting part at the end of a casual match but doesn't reset afterwards.
I'll check for both when i can!

Ok I'm not entirely sure about this but i think you get this font only if the font file (surface_medium in this case) is not installed at all, and you said you installed the fonts already so i don't know.
Inside C:\Windows\Fonts you don't have a single surface font? cause the only thing i can think of is a conflict with the surface numbers font.

Yes i will as soon as i finish updating the other huds menus. I'm missing like 10 of them so it shouldn't take much time.

zheepyo any hud with the Surface font doesn't work for me. i tried installing the respective fonts but it doesn't seem to work.
every time i try installing the fonts and i check the Fonts folder none of them are in there

HUD editing: short questions, quick answers

Kraytalways wanted to know how to remove the name/score/ping text from the scoreboard. Ya-Old is the only hud (I know of) that does it, but I've got no clue where to look

I think you can't remove it, you can only cover it with an other scoreboard element, in fact on yahud old is covered by the 2 white bars.

Take these file from my yahud 5md as well and add them to the hud
- ChatPopup.res and InviteNotification.res (otherwise these 2 will get covered by the menu and be unclickable)
- PvPRankPanel.res (removes the background and reposition the rank menu thingh)
You also need the HeavyCaps12 - HeavyCaps16 font definitions from the clientscheme.
Everything else looks pretty good!

osvaldoemive had this problem since scream fortress was removed, thursday i think. if im not currently in the dev console its 90% behind the flying pyro image https://imgur.com/a/6ICgcSame issue here. How to remove that random default background image so it doesnt obstruct the main menu and the dev's console ?

New version is up with removed characters images and other small fixes, but wont be able to click on the console even if you can see it anyway, you always need to press the console bind or m0re button.

A minor annoyance: I have set the console to be opened as I launch the game. Sometimes I open listen servers to practice from there, amongst other things. At the moment it's on background - as I can't type anything on it - having to join any server to bring it forward.
I could use the menu's "engine showconsole", or even change it to "toggleconsole", but it didn't used to be this way. Every time somewhere else is clicked, the console's lost to the background. Any workaround to this layered mechanic?
Is like that for every hud even in the default tf2 hud so I don't think there is a way to fix that. But I added a show console button to almost every hud i've update recently. For some huds is the hud label name, some have dedicated button and for others like garm3n i converted the commentary button to open the console!
