do not prioritise based on class but rather on who the individual player is. who do you dislike the most on the enemy team? determine that and you have your priority target.

this post definitely reads like a troll and all but i do find it funny how he keeps going "didn't i ban you?" like what does he mean by this?? seems like a needless bit of passive aggression lmao especially if its a mistake (meaning he didn't actually ban you prior to that point), and the fact that he does it multiple times is funny like did he forget or??
also obligatory "im also banned and have no idea why loool"
LuckyLukeJWBik u dont usually have restrictions on your clips (as long as theyre in games under a competitive format) but IMO this video should probably be limited to clips from officials, perhaps just top level officials even. make it a real competitive tf2 over the decade highlight video.Yeah I'm wondering how I should do it, nailing the "Top Plays of the Decade" is gonna be impossible and a different Top10 selection to everyone anyway. So no way to please everybody. But I think I should split it up between top level officials & regular entertainment. I do still want to speak to a larger audience, which is only possible with some more flashy & crazy entertaining clips. So I think splitting it up is the best way to go. Making it with only Top level official clips will not do well on YouTube, sad but just the way it is.
tbh if you have a decade of content you can have plenty of ridiculous shit from top level officials, but i think having a list thats more geared towards the most impactful and important plays (prioritising big matches and important moments in them, not just the flashiest airshots) and a separate list for just the most ridiculous shit sounds like a good way to go.

mintyxdif you have money to spend on tf2 items (which almost every one of you does), you have 15$ to put in a prize pool to play in a season. 3/4s would not quit, and ultimately if someone cant pay their fees someone on the team usually does it for them.
if i spend money on cosmetics im buying them for myself
if i spend money to play a tf2 league im just giving it to top div people/sandbaggers
those arent the people providing the service. if admins started demanding to no longer be volunteers and the money was to give them a salary then that'd be a bit different i feel.
don't get me wrong, i think its important to have dedicated top players pushing the boundaries of the game and making the top competition good to watch, but still.
(obviously im not saying i don't want top players to have good prize pools, i just don't like it being "forcefully" funded by the community, especially when many people arent even playing to try to reach the top themselves)
edit: forgot that rgl uses money to fund lans, that actually makes it a lot more justifiable IMO since it adds a genuine great increase in quality to the conclusion of the top competition (more so than i'd imagine a prize money increase does since people don't really play for money anyway but i'd be interested to hear top player perspectives on this -- does a higher prizepool significantly increase your motivation to win and thus improve the quality of the competition?) and i feel it gives back to the whole community (since theyre exciting to watch) more than an increase in prize money for the top players does.
i believe rahmed can bring back team elo leaderboards. no need to code it, he'll search for, log and calculate the elo conversion of every result himself before manually inputting it.
i respect how ridiculously keen you are to do stuff rahmed but i feel you get over ur head a bit sometimes lol. like if this was actually going to function with all the teams in the main tiers of etf2l that would take quite a bit of work from you to keep updated and unrealistically coordinated effort from the community too... and for what purpose lol?
1jayyBumFreezewhat is the reason to use this over going to etf2l which is the exact same but also auto updates and doesnt require everyone to dm you?
auto updates? explain to a ameripoor like me
if it isn't clear from later posts, he means the fact that simply using the etf2l website to find teams to scrim means you don't have to worry nearly as much about it being updated since etf2l team pages (especially ones actively competing in a season) are much more likely to be currently relevant than a google doc that you have to dm rahmed to get sorted/updated with your team info, and you're relying on everyone doing that.
i also do not really see the point of this endeavour by rahmed except that it gives you people's discords? but if teams wanted you to contact them through discord they could put it on their team profile.
there's also the etf2l discord like bum pointed out which is generally the easiest way to find quick scrims.
editing into my first post made it super long so posting here, sorry for length still

having been relatively disconnected from the scene for years, I really wasn't sure what to expect ot feel going into this. as cliche as this is and as much as it should be predicted, I've been blown away by the truly unique community experience lan has. I've been especially blown away by the sheer amount of people that immediately recognised me upon me telling them my name (and others who recognised my face) despite my inactivity, even people I never really knew well and people who I'd expect to be known by so many people that they wouldn't know me. idk, I just expected to be forgotten/unknown and was blown away by this being so far from the truth. love you guys. i appreciate being made to feel so welcome. this community is so special in a way that I cannot describe.
I've felt for a long while that I just don't really have a place here anymore and maybe thats true and idk what my future is with this scene but I'm still grateful for the temporary feelings that its not. really surreal.
will edit this later with a proper list of shoutouts/thank you's but obviously very tired rn but wanted to say some feelings while I had them.
shoutout to staff and teams tho. final was tragically close. you guys could've had gully or product, commiserations on it not going that way. thanks for the show.
if anything I said sounded off I'm sorry like i said im really tired but GOOD FUCKING LAN LOVE U GUYS SLEEP WELL
repeating the tradition since I see no one else has started this yet.
give any closing thoughts on your lan experience and give any thank you's/shoutouts you wish to
:)
