Super nice... a real sweetheart. Also smart. He's new but rapidly improving and needs an actual 6s team to get some real playing experience.

Awesome guy, very nice, very smart and experienced player, very good soldier. Well spoken and a good teacher. I tell you what though most of the time he can't hit a thing as scout. Not a single thing.

#13 Med Primary in TF2 General Discussion

I get immense satisfaction plasma-gunning people to shreds with streams of needles. It keeps me from switching off my healgun too much and makes me more of a threat should I absolutely need to fight back. Sometimes I miss a lot though ._.

#19 Autoheal or hold m1 to heal? in TF2 General Discussion

What Nursey said. I have autoheal on but I usually hold the mouse anyway. The pressure on my finger ends up being a tactile feedback thing.. a physical reminder that I'm tethered to somebody and it seems to keep me sharp. Ultimately it doesn't matter and is just a mental thing.

#8 best tf2 server providers? in TF2 General Discussion

I've had a gameservers.com server for years and for a long time it was fine but at some point it started adding on 15-35 extra ping for most people for no good reason. I also had some issues with update taking a real long time and stuff. I've since been with tragicservers and overall I'm quite happy and it's an improvement. It's a shame that CEVO uses gameservers so that continues to be a thing in my life...

#64 Thoughts on CEVO match scheduling in TF2 General Discussion
serv0lol who cares, when I had to play against jaguars team in open they managed to get the match on Friday at 9:30 est (ESEA auto accept after 24 hrs), I added him and he said they want to play friday and "they will take the forfeit win" if needed, so he has no room to complain when hes done this to other people before.

Sorry about that servo. I don't remember the exact circumstances of what went down back then but I remember that it sucked. I've had situations like that happen several times throughout the years and nobody's every happy about it, not my teams not the other. It usually involves some crappy circumstances like the other team being really inflexible and insisting on some terrible day like Friday or Saturday when half my team can't be there or some day when I have to use 2 backups. I'm pretty sure I remember teams being assholes and trying purposely to insist on days they knew I couldn't field six. I never just roll with the auto accepted time to be a douche or collect easy FFWs. But again, I honestly can't remember the details of what happened and I'm sorry it was shitty.

#21 REMOVE FREIGHT FROM DM in TF2 General Discussion

Freight is my least favorite dm map. Just the way it's layed out and the positioning of the spawns means that someone is always spawning behind you no matter what. Of course every dm map is like this but freight feels extra nasty about it. That said it's just dm and it's still a fine place to shoot people so leave it be.

#21 Thoughts on CEVO match scheduling in TF2 General Discussion
TLDR: 9 days were given to complete 4 matches, and the offer system does not force people to reply, and the default time is 6pm pst wtf??

Yeah so, huge issues with match scheduling so far this season. For the most part they've already been mentioned in this thread. Overall it's been smooth so far, until some real pissmops come along and really highlight the issues with how things are now. There's some classy people out there, folks.

9pm EST is too early of a default time for matches. Many teams, mine including, are barely able to get to their computers at this time so we can start to warm up and get some scrims in. Nobody wants to play matches right then right away. TF2 is played generally between 9 - 11:30 pm EST. ESEA has default match times for 10:30 EST and this is way better.

The offering system needs an overhaul as well. Here's what happened with this team we were supposed to play, Team Café. Some time well in advance I made them an offer for the default match day at 10:30 EST (I like to keep it consistant and almost always offer default day at this time, aping ESEA). They didn't respond for a long time. Then 40 or so minutes before the default 9pm time they go and reject my offer. This sets the time back to the default time. If they hadn't then I'm not sure if my offered time would have been the one either, since they didn't accept it. That's a good question actually: What happens if they neither accept nor decline? This hasn't come up for me yet in the season. Anyway this was like 8:30 or so pm so I was already in TF2, warming up, goofing around and getting ready to start scrims. A bunch of my players weren't even on since, again, we start at 9 and some people get to their pc right then. So yeah, I didn't have the opportunity to see my email that was telling me they rejected. They showed up at 9pm into the client and reported a ffw. Ninja'd it out right from under us. Later on as we're preparing for our match (at presumably 10:30) we check the team page and the match is over and we're sitting pretty with a FFL. The rules currently cater to these asswipes and their unreasonable schedule and love for FFWs. The system should reward me for taking initiative and offering match times, and trying to come to an agreement. The other team needs to be forced to respond to my offer within 24-48 hours and counteroffer or at least the default time can't be so unreasonable. It should not reward the kind of behavior that went down here.

>>> http://pastebin.com/UyBGtPVQ <<<

But yeah nobody can help in this case since the rules are the rules, and they're just playing to the rules. Doesn't really matter that the rules are unreasonable. This is why people hate lawyers.

Also, the rules make it sound like you could be disqualified from the season for 2 forfeit losses and that's rather harsh, especially considering we now have this BS one lingering with us. 3-4 would be a bit more reasonable.

Anyway, I really hope some changes are made in the coming seasons. I'm not a fan of ESEA as a company but there's little reason to not copy most of their procedures unless something is blatantly bad since they've been molded over years to be effective.

#10 "Segway 3" - a new tf2 minimovie in Videos

Yeah what everyone else said. I can see this took a lot of work and it's really neat from a technical perspective but it's jarring to look at and a bit heavy-handed for my tastes.

The map's been rapidly evolving and every new version is better than the last. Lots of experienced players have been providing relevant feedback and the map's really coming into its own. I can't wait to pug it again soon and see how it feels.

The screenshots at the top show the most recent version.
