SpaceCadetKanecozheepdummy invented demoman
m8 I think you misspelt ryb
I believe DESTRO predates just about every notable demoman you can list so if anyone defined playing demo at the highest levels, it would be him IMO.
I mentioned ryb because ryb actually pioneered and perfected a lot of the demo rollouts still used to this day in competitive maps. He not only was the staple demoman of his time but he literally (re)invented how the class was played, thus my response to that post.
Doing this in 2009 was basically unheard of at the time.

3 golden caps, that was genuinely very entertaining.
this is some really low quality drama, sheepy didn't even manage to derail the thread smh
I can play as soldier/demo if there's any team searching
Demo always gets the short end of the stick smh
dashnerKanecoSideshowTFCups have already given me the money for their half of the sponsorship, the guy behind it wanted to donate anonymously. No issues at all with legitimacy, don't worry.
Thats great news. Just wondering whats the point of the tfcups org then, I assume it will serve as a launchpad for future tf2 tournaments when the games starts to take off a bit more with matchmaking but then it will render that anonymity useless.
Get back to work on the i55 frag video please.
Just 7 more gbs of demos to go ;_;
It's really strange tho that with esports blowing up recently there hasnt been an international organization dedicated to do some Olympic games / world cup kind of thing with the various competitive games.
I assume in like 10-15 years esports will be so much more prevalent and nation competitions will be a normal affair just like in every other sport.

Hoping for some great games and many more future tournament sponsorships nonetheless. TF2 is as alive as it ever was.
Excellent news! But a bit apprehensive about the sponsor, no link in the article, the site is a single placeholder image, no info anywhere, don't know who's involved... If you're going in with a 4k € sponsorship (which is bigger than all the previous etf2l seasons for example) I would expect something more to show, even if it was to know the organization itself.
solathe tf2 community has a way of not letting you forget your past actions, dont worry man. Just keep doing whatever youre doing as long as youre not cheating and youll be fine. Worst case scenario all you gotta do is just switch accounts and pretend to be someone new lol
Geel9If there's never an opportunity for forgiveness after someone legitimately admits and acknowledges their faults what's the incentive for someone to ever stop doing bad things
It's not as much about cheating as it is/was being the biggest promoter of said cheats on the entire scene. Lots of people are prone to experiment with cheats, hell, even I did it in some shitty free fps like 10+ years ago when I was like 12y old, but it should be a phase you eventually grow out off and not one where you proudly showcase it to the world. His youtube channel url is still youtube.com/user/maxboxlmaobox for fuck sake.
He was actively promoting his cheat usage proudly to dozens of thousands of people. His channel at the time had 20k subs, Idk how the fuck he reached that number but anyway, he was reaching out to more people than the teamfortresstv youtube channel and 5 times more people than the Comp.tf channel for example. Think about that for a second. And now he's riding that fame making money off youtube and donations off twitch with a holier-than-thou attitude because he doesn't cheat anymore.
Sorry but fuck this guy.
ExzeIn this year alone, we've trialled 7 new staff members including myself. Some are just not interested in the moderator roles of TF2C, and so don't make it to the team. Fairy is actually behind recruiting new moderators, while MN sticks to all the dev work. We had planned to talk about some re-workings in terms of ban abilities in our latest meeting, however we had to cut it short due to the attacks on the site.
Maybe because anyone with a shred of self respect and dignity will never even consider to represent an organization with such a horrible reputation and work with people who can never admit to any wrongdoing. Each post any of your reps do is the equivalent of digging another layer in the whole you're in.
h0b5t3rfatswimdudeThey represent the best part of the community and a lot of comp players also stream pubs not just comp matches, I thought the idea was to draw people into comp, not try to reinforce the garbage demo knight pubbing that currently happens.h0b5t3rThis is another good reason for Valve to use TF.TV stream list instead of twitch. It will stop from showing hackers, it will show people who are actually members of the community, and it will show people who actually know what they are doing instead of random pubbers.tftv doesnt represent the entire community though
What basis do you have to assert it represents the "best part" of the community? Despite being a "small game" the community is still quite vast and the competitive community itself is also very diverse with etf2l forums, ugc forums, ozfortress forums, and various other community sites and forums. In short, tftv is competitive tf2 but competitive tf2 is not tftv.
Specially when tftv stream list is determined by a very small group of people and subject to pre-review before approval. Also the streams were added to the game to help popularize tf2 streaming in general not only competitive streams since stream viewership is something this game always lacked compared to other fps games or competitive games in general.
Can we just avoid giving him any attention please? It's bad enough he made a name of himself as a cheater and is now riding that fame
