Im not sure why the 2 tiers, specially with seedings being so debatable. I think you would benefit more from having a single tier with lower sign up fees (ex: 1 key per player).
Also lol @ high players signing up for the lower tier.

I use adobe media encoder, if you have it you can use the presets I shared on my moviemaking resources thread.
My only rule is not to buy snacks, sweets or sodas ever, because If I don't have them at home I'm not even tempted.
I do like a good wine with my meals once in a while. Other than that I cook all my own meals and it works out pretty good. Allows me to keep in shape and gives me some margin to get absolutely hammered on weekends, win-win I would say.
joejoe347update ~10 minutes ago fixed demo issues.

SideshowSurrender option would get abused and deny the opportunities for comebacks most of the time in mm. A better option would be the windifference for mm, although for leagues we don't need that, can just use a "surrender" option of calling gg to end the game. Stops dead time, nice timelimit, cool time-pressured plays, still opportunity for comeback.
This, any surrender option would easily get abused and (I know it's not quite the same thing) but Valve has made it clear already with dota they will not implement a surrender option in a competitive setting, if there's anything that would create a bigger feeling of toxicity then the surrender option would be it.
Win difference is the perfect option for keeping games exciting with the always iminent possibility of a comeback while keeping frustration and toxicity low for one sided games.
DreamboatflameI am not sure the low level lost plebs want to be playing dragged out steamrolls is more or less the argument. It can create some pretty bad environments, regardless of whether or not it's 'better'
What if there was a team surrender option?
If down 3 rounds, your team can surrender to end it early.
??? There's a setting for that already, it's called win difference and its used already in most scenes
Also are we really complaining about a possible game lasting 30 mins as being too much to grasp (even if you're being rolled) when the average CSGO matchmaking game takes on average 40-50 mins? Is 30 mins really that much for the simple minds of the "poor little newbies" to handle? All it seems to me is that we're being overly condescending by assuming the average tf2 player will get turned off by anything when in reality they will most likely accept it and adapt over time.
Even a 30 mins game is still shorter than the average CSGO MM game, let alone a one sided game with win difference limit (mercy rule) of 5 like used in Europe, which can be over in as little as 10-15 mins.
flamethe logic is if youre stuck in a 1 sided game for 20 minutes its not fun for anybody involved.
if youre stuck in a bo3 match and its completely one sided you can potentially lose in 2-3 minutes.
A close bo3 match could take upwards of 30 minutes if the teams were even and/or trying their hardest to hold last.
I mean I could argue with you but I don't really care either way, I personally don't think the bo3 system is 'worse' than a best of 20 minute system.
win quick, lose quick, play another game.
There's a win limit difference of 5 in EU ruleset and pretty much anywhere else where its used so your point is moot
flameSideshowI really really hope they're not gearing towards winlimit 2 in mm. Or even winlimit of any kind - without a timelimit these games will be either a stupidly small amount of rounds or last a ridiculously long time. Timelimit is such a better option but they seem to be going the other way.
timelimit creates a feeling of helplessness and toxicity, I had this discussion with them, they're absolutely correct in thinking that.
You know, this is one of the downsides of them (I assume) only getting direct input from a ridiculous small pool of players from 1 scene rather than including all scenes in the discussion, Europe has been using timelimit for as long as I can remember and it has worked out quite well for us I would say.
There has been plenty discussion before on this matter (ex 1, ex 2) with arguably the eu ruleset coming on top in terms of popularity both from a viewer and player perspective, not even mentioning the fact that the entire rest of the world uses the EU ruleset or a variant of it (I think Ozfortress actually introduced halftimes recently) but still, 4/5 scenes use or used the EU ruleset or a variant of it.
It has not been proved to create any feeling of toxicity or helplesness superior to the NA ruleset, otherwise I don't see any reason why the majority of the scenes in the rest of the world would stick to it. Is this the imperial system all over again?

Lmao my game crashed when joining and now I got a fuckin 5 hour cooldown on matchmaking
First broken demos now this, FML
raystripparaysLooks like this update somewhat broke STV demos (at least older ones). All of my old ESEA STVs show up with everyone named unconnected, even on the default HUD.
is this broken for POV demos as well?
Yep, it would appear that way

god damn this is so difficult to grasp, sometimes I have to remember map projections are a thing.
bump because I've had people adding me but no one sent me content to work with yet :c
Good luck! I foresee more of these projects popping out soon ;)
