So I have finally started to reviewing applications, 1 by one, on a player basis...
5/62 done :D
Have one question, on UGC 6v6 is steel red higher than steel blue or is it the same level only different series?

kirbyKanecoAfaik you can't reach mid faster than demo on granary with that rollout,
if you do it right and the demo goes through choke, you can i'm pretty sure.
Against an average demo rollout sure. But if we are comparing the fastest possible rollouts there is no way a solly can get to granary mid faster than the demo, granary is the longest map by far, which is exactly why demo rollouts are much more effective (in terms of time) than solly.
Afaik you can't reach mid faster than demo on granary with that rollout, same can be said for the faster than demo gully one, if the demo does a fast choke rollout he arrives with enough time to place 2-3 stickies on half your team.
Most of them were really good and creative tho, but they must be incredibly unreliable.
Really like the first process one, the flow of the jumps was amazing, tbh Idont know how you did that lobby small jump and made it seem so in line with the other jumps.
Viaduct ones were great aswell

Was split into 2 pieces because they had to stop the game and resume it later for whatever reason. EZ.
Thanks...
Altough adding it up it gives a 60 min map? o.0
I'm setting a bounty
for the logs of the game between HRG and ElemV on the Invite group on cp_gullywash.
It's the only log missing on http://comp.tf/wiki/Insomnia49
atmoCan't beat perfect tracking for an impressive spectacle though, especially on scout where your own position is changing so rapidly.
well yeah, tracking is more reliable than twitching, the problem is, tracking is a pain in the ass, I mean, with enough practice you will eventually get it, and it's quite easy on slower classes, like heavy, but on faster classes like scout or tracking faster classes as sniper for example it's not easy and you will find yourself missing more than when twitching sometimes.
Also tracking is much easier with a low sens so, players with low sens will probably be able to track better than ones with high sens, independent of the practice you get.
SideshowUsed to only use my wrist to aim, and my hitscan was fucking dreadful. Recently started using my arm to move the mouse and it makes everything much smoother - the upside is that my hitscan has improved almost overnight but the downside is that I don't seem to have that same muscle memory for quick rockets. Still hitting well, and better from long/mid distance but less quick shots.
How was the transition from wrist aim to arm aim? Probably you had to lower your sens as well when making the transition or not? Really curious about this as I have always used my wrist and tried my arm a few times and it's really scrappy, can't hit anything.
First there is also what part of your body you use to aim, some people aim with their arm, I use my wrist only, this means I have quite a high sens where moving only my wrist allows me to do it.
Besides that my aim type grew naturally on me and it depends on the class.
For heavy I use pure tracking for example, and it works really really good, despite heavy being my least played class (10 hours) I feel my heavy aim is probably one of my best class aims.
For demo which I main, well it's basically pipe aim, it works a bit like rockets but not entirely the same, I tend to get twitchy aim on close range targets. But it depends on my flow, sometimes I'm hitting 4 in 4 pipes, while other times I can fail 4 pipes against a medic in front of me.
For soldier I use a mix of tracking and twitching, but I notice when I start to get a bit more stressed on mge or dm I tend to start twitching too much and not really tracking, which isn't necessarily bad because some times it works, other times I just have to take a deep breath and really concentrate and focus where I want to hit instead of mindless twitching. When I do use shotgun I tend to twitch like a mad man vs scouts, because those bastards can't keep steady, I still have pretty bad shotgun aim against scouts tho. Against heavy targets if it's a 1v1 and I'm being pressured I tend to twitch and use the best reaction time I can to land those shots when the mouse is over. If I see they are out of ammo, or not pressuring me I take my time and I usually land every shot over 70 dmg on close range.
I feel twitch aim and flick aim is different or at least I want to say I have 2 different types of twitch aim. Since I aim with my wrist I usually twitch only with it, however sometimes in the heat of the moment or from pure muscle memory I flick my entire arm and hit a crazy shot overhead or 180 degrees behind me, those are the hardest shots to hit for me and the ones that make me proudest.
For scout, well since I have quite a high sens it's all about reaction time, I twitch a lot so I try to react as fast as I can on the mouse over targets, it's not very reliable but it works.
For sniper well, it depends, I aim for the general are where the target is, if they are long distance and I am not being pressured I tend to be patient and track a lot until I feel confortable to land my shot and I think I'm going to hit. For close range targets or when I'm being pressured a lot I tend to aim for the general area of their head and some miliseconds after scoped in I twitch based on my prediction from what I saw, it's really a lot of hit and miss on close range targets.
For pyro I put a rock on my W key and just hit M1 until my ammo is over or I die.
Completely agree with this, it will also make it easier for projects like comp.tf to build an history of the competitions.
Also, logs.tf seems to have a huge popularity in Europe, the same way sizzling stats have a huge popularity in NA, maybe try to integrate one of them or even both for all matches? If not directly in the client/site maybe allow it to appear as a linked attachment in match pages? Would also make our jobs at a lot easier.
Geknaiirbind random keys that you will never use to tf2 commands. Then bind those keys to the macro.
well.but as I said, Most keys I have are binded already. Most numpad keys are and F keys as well.
Is there any other way. For example to bind multiple keys, like bind a command to CTRL + F instead of F only, and then set the macro to run CTRL + F for example?
b-b-but the cramped last is one of the staples of the map, it's what makes it such a fast paced and enjoyable map
So while browsing this thread I decided to change some parts of my config, but most of my numpad keys and F keys are already binded so I thought since I have a Corsair K90 Keyboard I could use some of its macro keys for these binds.
but then I remembered it probably wasn't possible to bind non-bindable keys or whatever you would like to call it.
So is there any way to make these macro keys work like binded keys in tf2? Like completely different keys, without overriding other binds, or possibly a combination of keys (CTRL + F for example)
I actually never took interest in the battle system in total war games, I always simulated, much mmore interested in the strategic aspect of the game (altough battles also have strategy but its much more boring for me), but is the Rome 2 battle system any good?
I dont really announce it like most people said, but people that get to know me well will eventually find out I play kinda a lot of videogames.
I lived with 8 flatmates when I first went to college so that was a hard thing to hide anyway. Reactions were mixed, some of them were really curious on what games I played and I even got them to try tf2 (altough it never sticked to them). While others treated with apparent disgust as if I was wasting my life playing. I didn't care much tho.
I also used to play a lot of minecraft back in alpha, and my flatmates would make fun of me for playing and wasting my time on such a shitty game, eventually when it boomed, all of them were playing it on their iPads and iMacs and god knows what, left me a little bitter.
First year I joined college was the year of the big LoL boom, so playing games went from "that guy is a nerd, he wastes all his time playing games" to "that guy is a beast at LoL", even all the girls in my Computer Engineering class started playing it. Felt kinda disgusted on how people can be so hypocritical and judgemental.
Playing games is suddenly becoming "cool" or normal altough I don't like the way it is booming, because the new wave of gamers is really low on computer literacy. People play LoL and stuff like that but can't even install an antivirus or format a computer, kinda sad.
DuckyI would love to help you guys out, I meet all the requirements and I've been running my own TF2 casting/streaming channel for a while.
I'm a super nerd so availability is not a problem.
Can vouch for ducky. He's pretty much the main portuguese streamer. He streams a ton of games from Portuguese teams playing on ETF2L on a weekly basis, every time bringing in new guest casters from the community. I have also casted for his channel a couple of times and it was pretty good.
One of the things that definitely sticks out from his stream is the production value, he runs a 1 man show and yet his stream looks very presentable and professional looking at all times. I would dare to say some of his streams had more production value and better presentation than some past tf.tv or vanilla streams, from the casters overlay to the hud and camerawork everything he does looks really slick.
Also his internet seems pretty spot on, at least his stream always seems very smooth and non-laggy for me. I wish I had that kind of connection and I would apply as well :D
frknnot gonna lie, i really do like the euro ruleset better. the only thing i don't like about it is that you dont switch teams and not all maps are perfectly symmetric.
But team switching is one of the main constraints of the NA ruleset really, at least for leagues with no self developed client, which is 99% of them.
Logs will get messed up, no automatic way of doing it because no official client and overall very confusing and scrappy.
The main map which relied on this was granary anyway and it was mostly fixed on that big update a couple months ago.
