yukiKanecoCharles32Tevson his stream, Mike confirmed epsilon to reform:
Mike, KnoxXx, numlocked, schoky, TEK, flippy
Off all the reforms and re-reforms of epsilon this one might take the cake, I think it's actually the best eu team I have ever seen, every player is the best of the best at their class / role, damn, I would watch that team so hard.

flippy?
elaboration: he ain't 'bad' but he isn't up there with the players on that list tbh
Having said that; if they don't like Overwatch that is a solid amalgamation of players. I wonder if they'll be a good 'team' though, if they ditch Overwatch and go back to TF2.
I meant the team looks very solid overall. Flippy is not the top of the top scouts but he gives some good flexibility for that sniper offclass, tek snipes pretty good but flippy takes the cake here over any other eu sniper. Epsilon never really ran sniper that much but who knows with someone like Flippy what they can do.

I shouldn't be the one adding NA matches but since I'm here might as well do it. After every season we have to add the new teams to saloon backend for their respective division, it's possible people just didn't bother to update the team list.
u gotta thank stark who pmed me on steam

ZestyWe need to get a few prem/invite players with a lot of knowledge about the game to actually design a map from the start and have someone who knows hammer make and detail it for them. That way any map balance stuff should be ironed out before the detailing even happens. So far it's just been people suggesting changes to a map somebody's already made but if top level players actually designed their ideal parts of the map it could be really cool.
The problem with that is 99% of prem/ivite players have 0 knowledge of level design, despite having game knowledge. You need a good balance. The ideal would be a mapper invested in comp (who plays or follows it actively) with a bunch of prem players backing it up and analyzing it.
The problem is also the feedback a lot of these people give is destructive and not constructive so they will just bother saying "this map is fuckin shit", "this mid is aids" and nothing more, leaving the mapper in the blank (and feeling pretty bad) and leading nowhere.
When logjam was introduced on etf2l I loved the map, I tried to give as much constructive feedback and ideas as I could within my knowledge, but so many people were destructive about that map that Hyce ended up changing the mid like 10 times and by the end of it everyone was turned off from it.
Also I really think 6v6 has great potential for a ctf map that's not turbine. I love playing ctf, and Im sure there's something cool to do in comp with it. (I still remember converge (I think that was the name) being playing in the nations cup a couple years ago, and that was a pretty cool ctf concept, there were a couple others ctf concepts I think could be worked on a bit more for 6s.
17:59 - TLR WARHURYEAH: i did a system restore
17:59 - TLR WARHURYEAH: so files related to tf2 went poof

not even recuva can save them
eXtineAnyone taking notes on Ticks of amazing moments? I don't think we've gotten any submissions for the August Top 10 from i55 so far. We could use help gathering that information and I'm sure Beater/"whoever's working on a frag vid" could also use that info.
I dont want to create any unnecessary drama or tensions but I find it odd how you guys, being the main beneficiaries of said ticks/moments don't take a little effort or initiative to go through the stvs yourselves or at the very least to get in contact with Beater/"whoever's working on a frag vid", I'm sure if you've gone through the relevant threads you would have seen we have already started going through vods and have a few people helping out. For the biggest tf2 event of the year, and having one of the largest tf2 channels on youtube that is the least u guys could do, specially after having a few lackluster months in terms of submissions. Instead all u have done is post in these threads and complaint no one has done all the work for you yet.
Beater and the guys helping out have been taking notes from all vods from both streams, I have 8 GBs of pov and stv demos to go through, sort and rename, I have been doing that for the past 2 days for stvs. It's not easy, it takes time and patience, I have no problem sharing with you, and most probably I will pack everything for public download after I have everything organized, but damn, don't just sit and wait for everything to come to you.
There's 3 insomnias a year, the tf2 tournament is much more prevalent in the summer series (every 3). So everything points in that direction but it's still very early to say. Specially with matchmaking around the corner we don't know what that is gonna change for us.
Also afaik you need the byoc ticket to watch the tf2 tourney, at least this year u needed it.
That cvar works for me and Ive been using it since forever
flameKanecoIt's not, It actually has the same Hash and everything (source), only the main download is basically a reskin.
Feel free to download from both and scan it yourself.
Yes its not the main site (more like a spin off one to rent mumble servers through it), but it's safe. Also you could as easily added one of us to talk about that or simply wrote in the pickup chat to avoid these kinds of misunderstandings
I mean it's not like I'm gonna download it to see if it's a virus, I also said probably, and I don't actually know who the TF2pickup.net admins are.
Either way you should probably change the link at the end of the day
It's not hard to find: http://tf2pickup.net/about
In any case I left lamqta/wieth a msg so they can change it to the wiki site to avoid confusion

CrayonNippleSome guy posted his Highlander highlights...

I also have no idea how it went so well over reddit, guess they just like unlocks, because I've posted better frags/videos there that didn't receive so much attention. Can't complain tho
WaldoPlease don't do anything in sfm, it's absurdly contrived.
I'm sorry but I have to disagree with this, if used right sfm can complement the frags very elegantly and have amazing results, it works specially well for transitional elements.
As I said in the etf2l thread TF2C is one of the most amazing orgs in european tf2. Every french player should be proud of what this community org did for their scene, bringing in constant seasons, cups, events, contests with amazing prizes and sponsors. They deserve every praise. I'm sad it has come to this conclusion and I hope matchmaking can restore the hopes of a french league yet again.
Amazing work Twiggy, Fmapkmn, Poussin and all others involved. Always had very positive experiences with them.
kirbyKanecoclips ending too long after the frag, or starting too early into the frag and it really bothers me.
I start rendering demos a few seconds or so before the frag(s) of interest happen for this specific reason, though I would be a hypocrite if I said I was good at not letting clips drag on. It's something I'm going to make sure to work on.
It's fine to actually record with a decent sized margin like 5 secs or something before and after, gives you more margin to work with, it's what you do with the recorded clip after that counts. IE: Sometimes I cut clips too short in advance (to synch with music) but then end up getting a few black spaces which are not long enough for a smooth/sfm shot but not short enough for a transition either or that specific song part doesn't mesh too well with a different shot/transition, having that margin helps fill those voids sometimes, even if you have to toy with the velocity in your favor.
