#35 McDonald's in Off Topic

I have literally never in my life had breakfast in a fast food chain. Guess it's not part of our culture here, because if anything we go to a local owned cafe / pastry which are traditional everywhere.

#54 i55 Demos in TF2 General Discussion

I've been collecting all these and also was given a few by other players personally, after I sort them and rename them all and eventually record what I need for the i55 fragmovie I will probably post a giant pack with all I have sorted out by class / team.

When is the poll over? There is no date anywhere which is pretty strange considering there are 2 players neck and neck

MearliteBeaterIf anyone would like to help me go through the vods let me know in this thread and add me on steam (http://etf2l.org/forum/user/17660/) and I'll give you the run-down.
If you mean like watching twitch/youtube vods and noting down frag video moments that happened I can help out.

Yeah we decided to go through the entire vods from stream 1 and 2 first. And note all noteworthy moments, please get in contact with me or beater if you want to help out.

The camera work was amazing (thanks to arie's amazing airshot prediction tool (aka live stats) ) so a lot of ticks are much more easily obtainable from the vods.

After that I'll see how much material I end up with and will probably go through a few povs or uncasted games stvs

#30 Good instrumentals? in Music, Movies, TV

I would recommend listenning to anything Thievery Corporation, it's not exactly instrumental (well a lot of their songs are but some are not), but absolutely amazing sounds, each album has a different sound signature which is mind blowing.

I recommend the Saudade album, altough it has a lot of vocals most of them are in Portuguese, French, Italian so it might work for you anyway if you wanna focus with these songs. A lot of bossa nova / fado / samba influences on this one.

#78 yayahud in Customization

Did you change how item qualities are displaying when you forked yayahud? I remember on takyahud the item qualities backgrounds on the backpack were very easy to distinguish, but on yayahud it seems they were removed totally and only appear when u hover over them? I really preferred the old way so I could tell item qualities easier

thx for the update btw

#41 i55 Fragmovie in TF2 General Discussion

I already have a shit ton of povs from eu teams, at least from the invite group. Will have to work on sorting that

But I think I will have some issues reaching out to the NA players, if someone can help me out with that I would appreciate.

GentlemanJonElepimpDoes anyone know what that thing that war was using before the maps on the grand finals where he was like drawing where the classes where with the arrows etc.? I think he called it a map analysis tool which is pretty vauge but yeah does anybody know where to get it it seem really cool.If there's enough interest I might make it good enough for general use, it's pretty rough and ready at the moment but it could probably have some value analysing a map/for with team mates.

That would definitely be cool, all I can remember that is similar Advanced Tactical Center, I actually created a tf2 pack for that software like 3 years ago and posted it on etf2l if anyone is interested.

Teapot_out of curiousity how is a pov demo any different from an stv in terms of making a fragmovie?

The kills are, how do I say it, clearer, specially for sniper, because there's not a small delay or lag compensation like there's for stvs from the client to server. Then again I dont remember working with lan stvs so I'm not sure if it's as noticeable.
Also the killfeed (you can still change that nowadays with status spec, but it's easier if u have a pov).
You also lose a lot of information like hp, ammo, etc, for example for medic plays or some clutch plays is a very valuable thing to have
But the biggest overall diference comes to smoothing, you can't really smooth shots wiht stv demos, well at least not in the way you can with pov demos, and I usually work alot with smooths in transitions, etc...

marzHey - just throwing it out there - I have a ton of experience with Adobe Premiere and Avid Media Composer / Avid Pro Tools. I work in TV professionally. If you guys need extra help cutting segments I'm totally in.

I actually gave up on premiere just because I was already so experienced / used on vegas and also because I have a couple plugins I use a lot on vegas, but sounds like your experience would be very valuable, we'll see how it goes as I have no idea how much footage there is of both frags, lan, etc---

Im sure all those taking breaks will come back once matchmaking is released, (Im looking at you jukebox).

Also I was actually kinda disappointed not to see fultilt at lan, they were playing amazing and actually contesting top teams, Im sure they would make an impact. Astt is fuckin nuts on scout

18 votes, wow what a disgrace, I don't think people have a clue how much of an impact Mike was having in all of Reason games. He was keeping up or even outdoing b4nny in terms of dpm through the whole tournament, even with his team being shaken hard in the group stage, his team placed second to last on groups and he still top damaged overall on 4/5 maps as a fuckin ROAMER,now THAT is impressive. It's actually insane to do this at such a high level on roamer, his deathmatch is on another level compared to any of the soldiers in the tournament.

I looked through the logs and this is what I came up from him, apologize if theres any mistake

Groups

  • team top dmg 5/5
  • overall top dmg 4/5
  • team top kills 3/5
  • overall top kills 3/5

Playoffs

  • team top dmg 8/12
  • overall top dmg 6/12
  • team top kills 3/12
  • overall top kills 2/12

I can only imagine what could have happened with a KnoxXx + Mike combo, which to me is the strongest overall combo in tf2 history.

#7 i55 shoutout/thanks thread in TF2 General Discussion

yo I wanna thank the fuckin unsung Heroes of this lan, Atlas and ffc which did a fuckin amazing job on the wiki keeping the i55 page and the brackets updated LIVE, actually scratch that, sometimes the brackets were getting updated before the stream because we were getting info directly from logs which had no delay, now THAT IS AMAZING.

Specially on the first day which is always the hardest because so many more games going on and open groups and all that shit, and after I was handed the responsibility of handling saloon for the event at last minute they kept the ship running smooth as always working their magic on the wiki as I couldn't help as much and they made my job incredibly easy, I was tired and stressed as fuck by the end of day 1 but I wouldn't have made it without them. I love them with all my heart.
