RyushiI know for a fact that between me and jon as many of the games will get casted as possible.
Either on blackout or on tftv. I just hope we can at least find another caster so you don't have to put up with my mediocre solo casting the entire season.
Sorry for the offtopic, but Ryushi, just wanted to let you know you didn't get near enough recognition this last season, you were spot on, really amazing, the majority of the casts I tuned in, you were there doing an outstanding job. The caster of the season results dont really reflect the amount of work you put in, I voted for you :)
Hope you keep doing what you're doing because this season you really stood out for me. Of course this is not discrediting the other casters which did an awesome job as well but you came out of nowhere (for me at least) and I have yet to see a bad cast from you.
FogHoly shit all of you are fucking nerds
No wonder I left this community
play.esea.net/index.php?s=forums&d=topic&id=525185
also, this thread was very disappointing.
I am really looking forward to watch a few games, this was a lot of fun last year when I had little knowledge of speedrunning and I wasn't even aware the community was so big, and now its hitting 63k viewers, wow :)
flippersif you put the assets my way i wouldnt mind helping out making these, i have tons of free time.
I would certainly like to have some guest editors in the future, but for now I want to edit the first clips myself to get the hang of it
goldfishI submitted a clip and then the page went blank is this normal?
I'm using google forms, it probably redirected to a page telling you the submission was sucessful and nothing else. I haven't had the time to make a decent submit page yet but anyway after you submit it should redirect you to a page saying that your response was submitted or something along those lines
Most of you might be familiar with my comp.tf project, well, I want to get more out of it, reach more people, produce more content, share all the tf2 love. And this is one way I remembered to do it.
After a couple of weeks of messing around and talking to some friends (Huge thanks to ducky for all the tips, and huhy as well) I have reached something I am somewhat satisfied with and its what I'll be working with for now.
I have made a template for our new "series" called Play of the day for the Comp.tf official youtube channel, I know it's a very generic name but its the best I could get without straight copying other tf2 video series.
The clips are gonna look something like the clip below, bear with me the frag nor the synching is the best but it was mainly to test how the intro and the player bars would incorporate in the clip. Also, the name is not supposed to be taken in the literal sense, it's gonna be called play of the day but that doesn't mean I'm gonna be uploading everyday. At most I will probably be making 2-3 clips a week.

this one is on my personal youtube channel, not the comp.tf one, as it was just for testing purposes.
You should submit your demos through submit.comp.tf, and take a chance at being the 1st clip of what might become a regular tf2 series, or at least thats what I hope.
The aim of this is to produce more content and promote our youtube channel and our site through it, but also to practice my editing abilities, this clip above was one of my very first recording experiences with tf2 and I haven't touched any video editing tool in 5+ years so it should be interesting to learn all the new stuff.
EXC0I have stored all of tf2jump.com with its records, guides and forums on my hard drive and can reference any part of it locally. So I guess that might help some people.
yeah I just noticed tf2jump.com went offline... Hope you're able to restore it soon. It was a great resource.
people come and go, its the way of life, some projects die down, others are born, whatever happens I think we'll be fine
coming from a Portuguese guy, that is one of the funniest copypastas I have ever read. spot on
that terrible translation doesn't do it justice :D
bought enough booze and meat for 2 weeks and gonna blow it all tonight in a dinner / afterparty. Got a dozen of friends coming over to my place and i don't expect to remember much tomorrow
TO be honest I liked the format of the old tf2mixup more. This one might reach a bigger audience better which is not the tf2 usual audience but I really liked the old one more.
Got fit and finished my first job, which is pretty cool for me.
As for tf2 I really love how comp.tf took off, and also i49 and all the drama since september, even if not necessarily good it has been the most exciting year for tf2 so far for me.
SoapMost of what you guys are describing is simply the symptoms of 64 tick. When you are on servers that run 128 you will find that the hit detection is pretty great.
I believe ESEA and all the recognized leagues run 128. Don't quote me on that though.
Its not a problem of 64 tick servers only, hitreg is very inconsistent across the entire game, even on 128 ticks. example
I have played dbmixes on 128 tick servers and theres still a lot of problems. The game is a lot of fun but these really hinder the experience, especially for someone who is already familiar with fps's and clearly sees something's not right.
