#106 i52 best players in TF2 General Discussion
renxzensnowblindI've always thought this is incredibly cliche to say, but I don't think you can fully appreciate just how good everyone at this event was and how close the top5 teams were unless you played in the event. Every team had great players and every game came down to the wire (except the finals :/)
you guys (iM), epsilon and mixup basically placed 2nd at this tournament

Epsilon won the invite group convincingly, and iM placed second in front of froyotech, so I think its safe to say any of those 4 teams could have placed 1st, I don't think froyotech was so far ahead the other teams, they were just playing incredibly well and consistent in the final.

#18 i52 Fragmovie in TF2 General Discussion

I know I'm probably a shitter in the editor scene but I would love to have some of these demos to work with.

That last snakewater map with iM and the Mixup vs Epsilon games alone would be enough for a full length fragmovie

If you're gonna do a "name my band" thread its obligatory to include a group photo.

I feel its unfair not to mention Mike just for the fact that he's the most DM gifted player in the world. His aim is unreal, even if he didn't play his best in the finals.

As for other classes.

Clockwork and Kiler on scouts, clock really stepped it up in the finals and Kiler for his 1st season with Epsilon did incredibly well, and proved his worth at lan.

Seagull on roamer, so many clutch plays and airshots I even lost count, tek also played out of his mind but the finals were really disappointing tbh, just felt like he was running in with no objective at all and getting killed.

Yuki on pocket no doubt, that last snakewater game was probably one of the best individual performances I have ever seen in tf2, he was literally hitting airshot after airshot in consecutive plays as well as using ubers really well, I think he had like 15 airshots by the end of it. Lansky also played really well and consistent, but his style was never flashy like Yuki.

Termo and War on demo, both played really well and had their clutch moments and crazy shots, was not expecting termo to perform like that.

Shade on medic, I think there were so many throws in this aspect, like knoxxx and harbleu (except for that play against iM) choking in crucial moments, never expected it, especially from knoxxx, Shade was probably the medic with the least mistakes in the later stages of the tournament and that probably gave them the victory.

As for offclassers, sheep on sniper no doubt, tek also landed some crazy shots but I think he abused the class, Epsilon would have benefited more from having him on soldier most of the time.

And clockwork/b4nny offclassing on last defenses, god dammit, epsilon failed like 15 last pushes against their sniper/engie/heavy/pyro or whatever combo

#239 i52: Knockout Stage in Events

Calling the analysts desk, I'm gonna need the Airshots per minute stat on these maps

That was so heartbreaking... Everyone on iM was playing out of their minds. Yuki landing consecutive crazy airshots, sheep pulling headshots out of nowhere, termo wrecking faces and hitting crazy pipes... That was such quality tf2, probably the best since iM vs TCM I saw last year.

the number of airshots that last game alone was insane... I have no words. Yuki landing crazy shots left and right

Lord_PotatoTeapot_Lord_PotatoWhen does the bo3 start The insomnia website says that all upper bracket games bar the first one (The one with Invite team vs mix teams) should be bo3 but the comp.tf says mix^ went through with a best of 1 win. I am confused.
https://i.imgur.com/CIfg4hv.png

That was why i was confused

Afaik only the games from the 3rd round onwards are being played in bo3. Maybe insomnia site is incorrect?

Also, can we please disable birthday mode?

P-bodyblueeResults are here: http://cf-event.multiplay.co.uk/events/i52/

Click TF2 and you can see regular and invite results
I am also updating comp.tf. It takes a while, but me and others are doing our best to keep up.

Thank you so much for doing this, you and everyone helping out on the insomnia page on the wiki.
I had to be 1 week away and only got home now and was getting worried things could get out of hand, but I see we're in very good hands.

#5 Advice on Headphones $200-$400 in Hardware

I think if you already have decent headphones in the 100$+ price range and you're confortable with them, it's always best to just replace the pads unless you really have a lot of money laying around for a decent upgrade.

I have a pair of Sennheiser hd 280 pro, bought them second hand already 3 years ago, the pads deteriorated like crazy but I just ordered some replacement pads and I think they will be good as new when I get them.

#18 huds.tf in Customization

Great site, really loving it. Covers the hud aspect almost entirely

tstmWe would have to ask Doodles permission for this as we can't just slap stuff on the site, but it's something we will look at it.

Pretty sure you don't have to worry about that unless you only want to incorporate guides into the website and not linking to exterior sites. Personally I think having an external guide section with links to other guides wouldn't be a bad idea.

On top of my head there are a couple more guides not linked there that are on comp.tf custom huds page.

#14 Twitch nuking VODs: we need help saving them in TF2 General Discussion

There is lots of stuff (mainly old matches from 10-11 seasons ago) on VanillaTV that is not uploaded to their Youtube channel. I really hope we can save and catalogue it.

While going through comp.tf old season pages I found lots and lots of old vods that are only available on their twitch and not youtube

This is really amazing.

Just needs a bit more development so we can do stuff like change health color when your hp < a certain number and stuff like that
