#20 Ambassador crosshair in Customization

While we're at it, does anyone know how to make the default xhair size the same size as the ambassador xhair after firing?

Because I have all my default xhairs as huge (in broesel xhair switcher) but I want them even bigger like when you use the ambassador, but for all weapons, any way to resize the default xhair even bigger?

frknhyped.

p.s. I didn't even know this channel existed until yesterday, maybe I was just living under a rock but if not maybe you should try to target the comp community more

Everyone that enjoys watching some quality tf2 should be subscribed to TF2RJweekly, the videos have one of the best production quality and editing I have ever seen. It's just a pleasure to watch any video from that channel.

#10 Assholes in MGE in TF2 General Discussion

I use this for my dm+mge config, its pretty much the best thing ever, just get some music going and you're set, nothing will bother you.

unbind tab
hud_saytext_time 0
hud_deathnotice_time 0
volume 0

But anyway, I just wanna say that mge gets really frustrating sometimes, for me at least I can't play it too much without getting frustrated, thats why I just prefer dm, and eventually there will be some people that will channel their frustrations towards newer players. Don't stress it too much dude, just use some of the commands posted above and/or ignore them, I went through countless dozen hours on mge when I first started practising as well and let me tell you it wasn't an entirely pleasant experience but you just have to ignore it or maybe practise in dm?

#17 viable sticky trap in TF2 General Discussion

Some time ago I went on a 5-6 hour marathon through all the main maps just messing around with strange new spots for sticky traps and I noticed that one, I figured the medic would never hold there, as its such a strange spot for the medic to be with no visibility, so I never used it, really nice for making it work! :D

I remember here's another similar spot tho, if I can remember where exactly Ill post here

#57 Path of Exile in Other Games
AllealKaneco32hzDid you think TL2 was complex? The skill tree is definitely much more simplified but the game itself was a lot more fun to me since the begining, everything from the art style, to the characters itself, skills and mobs. Also like the way the inventory, items and weapons etc were handled more on TL2 than on path of exhile.

I know in the end these are 2 pretty different games, but I was so hyped for this game for the past few weeks/months and now that I just played it I just felt turned off by it.

Don't take this the wrong way, but TL2 (which I also enjoy a lot) is a lot more casual than PoE. It's simpler, which means you get lots of flashy and effective moves right from the get go. PoE is about earning effective moves through long term planning and building. Cleave isn't too exciting when you get it. Neither are traps or twin arrow or any spells on their own. But dominating blow gets a lot more exciting when you give it AoE and other buffs so that every time you slam the ground you create a small army of minions. But you won't be doing that until way higher levels.

Try watching some streams of big PoE players. It's really interesting to watch advanced players using no life builds or other unusual things that I can't think of right now. It depends on how much you like ARPGs. If you're really into them then PoE is about as deep as they go, but it's a lot of work to start seeing things that you might see in TL2 or D3. But it's so worth the effort to see a build come together endgame.

I know TL2 is much more casual, hence why I said PoE was a really complex and wellthought game, it does have much more depth than TL2 in that field but I think its just me, I just can't be arsed to spend that much time with it or really getting into it, that's why TL2 is probably more fun to me.

I do like aRPGs, but the last one I played before TL2 was diablo 2 (which was a masterpiece of a game) I think after that and after being spoilt by TL2 simplicity I really dont have the patience to get into these kind of more complex aRPGs, unless it was an MMO, then it would be a different story, but PoE is not quite an MMO

#50 Path of Exile in Other Games

I just tried it, finished a couple hours session and I must admit I'm kinda disappointed, it does seem a very complex and well thought game, but on a genre like this for example Torchlight 2 got me hooked way more than this. I know its not necessarily comparable but still...

#31 Is it bad... in TF2 General Discussion
MerchantThis is why I try not to touch my setting, it hurts my head.

Basically what I am hearing is 0.033 in hitscan classes configs and cl_interp_ratio 2 and in projectile classes 0.0152 and cl_interp_ratio 1.

Hitscan:
Scout, Sniper, Spy?, Heavy, Engineer

Projectile:
Demo, Soldier, Pyro?

What about medic? Projectile cause needles?

According to this post, which is one of the ones I based my posts on, cl_interp should always remain 0, and cl_interp_ratio 1 actually = 0.0152 while cl_interp_ratio 2 actually = 0.0303 , so you are just changing the interp_ratio

Some further research lead me to this post on reddit by ond_kaja where he explains why you should only mess with interp_ration and not interp itself.

So I don't know, I'm just basing what I had on some of these posts.

#27 Is it bad... in TF2 General Discussion
wonderlandits always a debate but if you ask me those settings are almost all wrong.

cl_cmdrate 67 //67>66
cl_updaterate 67 //67>66
rate 100000 //60000 or lower if your upload sucks

cl_interp 0.02 //up to you but pick a number that isn't zero please.

cl_interp_ratio 1
cl_lagcompensation 1 //0 can work for roamer with gunboats. better aim, worse jumps.
cl_pred_optimize 2 //never change this

cl_smooth 1
cl_smoothtime 0.01 //well it does nothing in that config cause he has cl_smooth 0 but okay its the right setting.

I based the above settings not only on chris config but also on some research I did around on forums. I noticed a lot of people recommended to keep the cl_interp to 0 and change only the cl_interp_ratio between 1 and 2 because that would change the cl_interp altogether, so which options is better then?

Also what really is the cl_smooth command for?

#2 4Plug in Customization

Looks amazing! :) Hope to see hud editors and plugin makers jumping in and supporting this.

The only suggestion I have atm is to change the name :D Need something with more flair and impact to it.

#23 Is it bad... in TF2 General Discussion

I always used the good connection settings from Chris config for all classes

// Net settings for good connections -- UNCOMMENT THIS SECTION IF YOU WANT THESE SETTINGS
// Good connection
cl_cmdrate 66
cl_interp 0
cl_interp_ratio 1
cl_lagcompensation 1
cl_pred_optimize 2
cl_smooth 0
cl_smoothtime 0.01
cl_updaterate 66
rate 60000

Should I change anything? Actually I sometimes notice perfect shots not hiting, or hiting behind or in front of the target.
