-Healthcare system is a joke, we had/have pretty much free/semi-free healthcare and I haven't heard of a single situation where someone in risk of life avoided going to the hospital of fear of becoming in debt. That alone should say alot about how a country values its citizens.
-Drug war it's an even bigger joke, it's the most broken thing to ever exist and if anything it helped expand mexican cartels and put millions of innocents in jail. In Portugal we have one of the most advanced policies in the world regarding drugs and we treat them as a health issue not a judicial issue. Drug use is decriminalized as well.
-The whole spying thing. I wouldn't want to live in a country that doesn't value my privacy.
-Internet and cellphone providers, I get astonished every time I hear about stories of those from the US. Over here contracts to buy cellphones barely exist, people generally buy the cellphone on its own and then pick a carrier. Or pick a carrier associated to a celphone but pay for the whole cellphone at the start, they dont sign a contract of x$ for god knows how many years.
I also get internet 24mb (no data caps) + phone + TV (cable 140+ channels) for 40
