KidIpzOhh god Kaneco...
#WhyDidAdmirableLeaveCrackClan?
Im not gonna exchange convos with you again, didn't really have a pleasant experience last time as you remember, but that's my opinion, notice I didn't blame anyone in particular tho.
iridescentFUZZ
Just being overly dramatic. Still disappointing to see a sponsored team drop or whatever it is that's going to happen.
Yeah, its actually kind of a big deal to see a sponsored team with such a short span and dropping with all this drama, kinda gives a bad name to the scene and distances our league from possible sponsors.
Frenchies got this
SerotoneKanecoThe hype for this game is blown so out of proportion it's starting to get annoying. When i see people who don't even know what valve is or that never even touched a HL game hyping this it gets rather silly.Hype is hype but I think the faith that fans have in valve is justified. The ending of episode 2 doesn't suggest that they intended to wait this long before the next release, so what I'm assuming happened is they were working on Episode 3 as just another episode that continued the story, then Crysis came out and they realised that what they were capable of making then just wasn't going to stand up on the FPS stage any more. Since they've put off development this long I think it's fair to say they're not going to release it until they're ahead of the curve.
I didn't play the first one, loved the second one, and I'm interested to see what the third one is bringing to the table in terms of groundbreaking mechanics, but I hate all the hype around it. Especially the "gamur gurls" who go to 9gag and make hl 3 jokes and dont even know what steam is.
BUt Im not bashing the fans or faith the fans have, Im bashing the bandwagoning of people who don't even play PC and never touched a Valve game and make HL jokes and go with the HL3 hype because it's so witty and edgy.
I don't mind at all about fans loving a game, I have great hopes in it as well, but I hate all the non-gamers going with this hype, its getting rather silly everytime valve announces something you get plastered with hundreds of messages saying the same thing HL 3 AMIRITE GUISE ??!?! DAE 2013 2+0+1=3 HL 3 CONFIRMED, omg so edgy xd !!111
Bubbajohn Stewart has a hilarious episode on this. omg
And very informative. Ironically (or not) the daily show is how I keep up with american and world politics.
Jon is amazing
brownymasteratmoIf you add a signature or public tracker of +/- frags people are less likely to use it vindictively, I expect. Much like with vBulletin etc.I think the opposite will happen and people will be more likely to -frag someone in the negative. Terrible idea.
On the other hand, I think being able to see who + or - fragged each post would make people think before they click the button, but that would be a hell in terms of resource consuming I imagine

I just went to my 1st lan last month, can give you something from experience.
My case is a CM storm trooper so its reaaaally really big, I couldn't fit it in any luggage I had, so I just wrappped it in a lot of towells and put it literally inside 5-6 garbage bags and tied everything up, I took the pc on a 2 hour train ride tho, since you're going in your car I guess you don't need half the things I did.
Main thing is the screen for me, I covered in like 15 towells and a pillow, put it inside a piece of luggage and carried it normally.
Both things went all the way over there and back not a single scratch as far as I noticed, and it was a fairly bumpy ride (2h train ride + few kms in car)
http://hl.lethal-zone.eu/index.php - For HL pickups (fairly inactive as far as I know)
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/9v9colony - Colony Steam Mix Gather, double mixes on a daily or weekly basis, keep in mind this is fairly higher level and a lot of div1-2 HL players hang around here
As for leagues
Wireplay is probably the to-go league atm, because its active and expanding a lot-
The main league is still etf2l.
UGC is also big but not as big as etf2l
LangeKanecoMaybe have a little badge for Invite/platinum/prem etc on the forum post banner and keep all the other stuff in the player profile?
I think that visibly differentiating players based on their apparent skill level is a bad idea. We've already seen numerous cases of disrespectful or outright hateful groupthink that occurred largely because one or two users posting in a thread had blue/green names. As unfortunate as it sounds, people often falsely assign clout to higher-skilled players, even when the matter at hand has nothing to do with TF2 skill.
If you wanna base the reason not to distinguish the top players on mob mentality then you should rethink +and- frags alltogether, apart from the previous(and still current) coloured names, frag number is really the biggest culprit of groupthink on these forums.
While normal foruns entice responses and require(even if little) effort put into an answer over here if you don't agree with someone or just simply because you don't like them you hover the mouse on the -frag button and its done, just like happened to me on this topic.

A very big reason as to why tf.tv is the only forum I regularly browse is because it's so clean, and visually appealing. IF there were medals and an invite badge upon the forum post, it would be alot less visually appealing imo. The colored names and forum post stars is the farthest it should go.
Backpacking on what some other people said, another color would be a neat idea, perhaps a pink or yellow, or maybe a banner similar to the i49 one? (Would be a bit cluttered but better than the badges and medals)
Yes, but honestly do you really prefer the stars to a badge displaying your divison in tf2? It's kind of a small topic to discuss about but I do think if there's anything that clutters the page is the post start which are absolutely useless. Not a badge relevant to the forum.
Also the i49 banner was much more annoying and deviated the forum style much more than a simpler badge, actually Idk if you remember or not but what was promised on the donation page was a little badge to support the team you wanted to win not a forum banner, so the idea of a badge has been around before and IMO it's much more appealing than these post stars.
Maybe have a little badge for Invite/platinum/prem etc on the forum post banner and keep all the other stuff in the player profile?
atmoTelling someone that their opinion is a joke is not a good way of convincing them to come around to your viewpoint. Enough people have expressed reasonable misgivings in this thread that perhaps there is some value in meeting their requests.
Thanks atmo, but it's pretty obvious negative feedback is not welcome, everyone that has given negative feedback in this thread has been -fragged or laughed about.
No wonder why all you hear is positive feedback like it said in the plus page, when people stating their reasons backed up by some strong/reasonable arguments get immediately dismissed as a joke it will obviously stop people from posting their true opinion here, and I have actually had a couple of people tell me on steam that they agree with me and they don't like it as well, but it's simply not worth it all the hassle of getting hunted down by this circlejerk.
alfunksohow can 5 bucks a month be steep?
It is, relative to the other options mentioned by enigma himself in the plus page (reddit gold or TL plus). Both these are cheaper and offer more perks.
mKaneco
Regarding tf.tv plus, as I said, I think it's a pretty steep subscription, reddit gold or even tl plus that you mentioned yourself are more affordable and offer plenty more perks to it, this alone should justify the initial point I made about not being happy with it.
so dont buy it
???
idk man you are on a tear as far as pulling shit out of your ass and laying it down as fact

I do love making reasonable and constructive posts and get downfragged and replied with shitposts like yours. I thought this was supposed to be a feedback thread, welp.
