OKAY guys, listen up. This is serious, and I want you to treat it as such. It's time for us as a competitive community to step it up and support the league that has supported our game for the past forever.

This may be the first time IM has grown in forever, showing that many dedicated players will be continuing to play in the league. There are also enough teams for one of the healthiest seasons of invite ever. BUT numbers for open are down in a rather dramatic fashion.

We see these desperation open team drives every season now, and they're always successful. I want to ask for ONE MORE season of it. One more is all we need. After this season, it is safe to assume there will be significant growth in TF2 with the arrival of matchmaking, more competitive content on tftv and popular youtube channels, and new community sites like TF2Stadium (or it won't and the game dies BUT THAT'S UNLIKELY). But guys... we gotta get past this season.

There are currently 6 teams in ESEA TF2 paid up entirely. To put that in perspective, there are currently 9 teams paid up in CS:GO Intermediate...'s west conference. Hundreds of CS teams are playing this coming season, and with ESEA's shifts in management, let's do our best to show them we really do intend on growing as an esport. Or at the VERY least let's get to where we were last season.

I helped make 8 open teams and 1/6th of an IM team this season. You? You're not that insane. But I ask that you pitch in and make 1/6th of an open team. It's not hard. In fact, it's pretty fucking great. It's anywhere from 3-5 nights a week of fun times playing an awesome game among (people who are hopefully) good friends. So, here's what you're going to do. If you want to play some awesome TF2, and you want to see some of the best high level competition the game has ever seen, you're going to post the following as a comment in this thread:

If you want to super-help, make a team with some of the people on the spreadsheet. OR just make a team with your pug friends. Every 6th person will have to do this, so step up if you have a bit of free time. I will update this spreadsheet every 30 minutes I am awake and every ~3 hours overnight (yup, i have the alarms set) until registration closes, which is in 2 days. Fece will also be updating it whenever she gets a chance. This will probably be slow starting off, because I'm finishing up this post at 3 AM. Please don't let that intimidate you. :)

Think about your top 5 moments playing competitive TF2. It makes me so happy just thinking about those moments, and looking forward to future moments like them. Thinking about those moments is what keeps me organizings and playing competitive tf2 as seriously as I can, and it'd be a shame if we as a community lose the opportunity to make more of those moments.

Looks good, but I'd hesitate to add the pompson because of the ubercharge mechanics. I'd imagine it being spammed from spawn on last, potentially gimmicking the fuck out of people pushing with an uber, which isn't something I'm particularly fond of.

The other weapons are all good though, and I applaud etf2l for keeping the cozy camper out.

Maps are perfectly fine for this season. If a new map arises that is better than the current ones, I'll be the first to push for it, but no such map is currently ready imo

You can shitpost recipes in the dumpster all you want, but the news section should be news that people care about, and that happens to largely be top 6s coverage.
