I hate posting this on these forums, but this is a group that has gotten somewhat-involved in lower level comp tf2 groups for promotion, so I wanted to spread the word.
Ok, it has come to my attention through a friend that a known scammer is planning to start up a tf2 gambling site much like sweepstakes.tf.
Here's the site's steam group. Here's the guy's steamrep. He's got a SteamRep ban and a Valve trade probation. And is an apparent alt of this guy
If you have any friends in the above steam group, please warn them about this. The entire purpose of the site is that it's a clone of sweepstakes.tf but better...
Steam groupFundamentally, this site serves the same purpose as our competitors, however we think we could do a better job.
This comes up because a tf2 community member (someone I have a mutual friend with) made this cool logo for the project.

The creator (esqapade) was told he'd be paid an unusual, and when he sent the final preview to the guy, he was removed and blocked on steam after being mocked. It's currently the logo used on the steam group. This block didn't last too long before he was added back and offered an unusual.

This is an unusual he was going to give away to members of the steam group, so basically he's lying to at least one person already. For those that don't know about this sort of site (which is super popular in cs), you essentially put a bunch of valuable items in a pot and the site then give one winner all the prizes. Sorta like scammer heaven. Anyways, just wanted you guys to know about this stuff. Have a lovely Christmas.
