The results are up. I didn't know runaway didn't even make nomination. It's my favorite video from this year. Anyways, congrats to the winners I guess. I'm pretty bitter about runaway, though.

All in all, I probably shouldn't have release the last update as rc1. I still have several things planned to put into this map due to the attention its gotten.

It's a pretty good refute imo. My files are my files. A league shouldn't be looking through them. My processor is my processor. A league shouldn't be able to take control over it when I'm not looking.

ESEA committed an enormous breach of privacy and trust. I personally don't care if you play with them next season, but I certainly won't be.

ESEA doesn't mind putting a virus on my computer, and PineBeetle just called a significant part of our community a cash cow. I don't particularly care what you guys do, but I'm gonna go ahead and stick with UGC until all of this is sorted out. I will get shiny metals and probably have just as much fun as I would in ESEA or UGC.

I'm still considering spacing it out a bit more, but I don't really know yet. I kind of like the tighter feel. It leads to much faster play. We'll see. If you play this map please feel free to record a demo with mumble audio, or a VOD of some sort. I'd love to improve this map for you guys, and seeing how it's played will help greatly. I'm having lots of fun making it so far.

I'll fix the clipping issues with the files. I couldn't see it without the configs, thanks for pointing it out.

As for the water, this is a really cheap (resource wise) water. I'll consider changing it to a nicer one, but that would cause worse performance. I can try though.

As for the errors in console, I'll look into them.

Last thing. I'm considering releasing the final version as "alt_nature", as the current standards aren't all that great. "altiduo" seems way too long to be included in the game, and it's very different from KOTH. We'll see I guess.

Doesn't this cut close to Monet v. LiT? There's like... half an hour between these games.

I wrote that on mobile, and was ahead of myself. I meant that I'd work a full time job's worth for free because I love this game. Seriously, this game and this community helped me through some serious medical issues that I wouldn't have been able to deal with myself.

I'm a high school senior with one class, and a full ride (plus more) to uni with next year. Each day I need a few hours for school and half an hour to play trumpet. Other than that, I'm free about 13-15 hours a day, and I don't sleep much. My food and housing is paid for the next five years, and I don't really get out a whole lot.

I guess what I'm saying is that I have the time to do this, and money is not an issue... so if anyone worth trusting is seriously considering doing this, I'd hop on board for free so long as they do the same.

Think about it... a league where people play video games... for fun! No client BS to deal with, minimal league fees (to pay for web servers/ modest prize pools), and admins that don't suck the life out of the community.

Seriously, if you're respected in this community and want to get a league going, message me. We'll get this stuff done.
