DrakeMegrimFor the tf.tv pub, what about trying to get it on the quick play list?
That would mean activating random crits... I'd rather have a rarely used server than one full of crockets and noobs.

No one wants to join an empty server. You'd have to know that a bunch of people are about to join (ie. via streamers, group announcements). I would absolutely join the group, but it's private. I would absolutely play on the server, but it's always empty.
turtsmcgurtsKoobadoobsprestigestory of a sentry and i dream of creeps and bad medicine are so good i can't decide which should have won.Implying "Till Death Do Us Part" wasn't as good, if not better? IMO it should have been either Till Death or Story of a Sentry. BM was great, but not quite as good as those two. Creeps was just weird, I didn't really like it much.
Story of a Sentry took too long to get to the point, I think. It also has some messups in animation. Bad Medicine has the same concept, better facial expressions and animation and by far the best camera work (imo), and all in less time than any of the other videos.
edit: this guy put it together better than I did

To be fair, Bad Medicine had its fair share of awkward animations. That guy makes a good point with its arguably superior storytelling. I definitely appreciated how great BM was, but IMO Sentry was a bit better. Neither was perfect, and neither was undeserving of reward and recognition.
TechnobladeI don't know what they were thinking when they decided the winner of the replays.
TBH I didn't like any of the replay finalists, but it could have ended up worse. At least it wasn't mmmmonster kill, with it's fifty seconds of nothing and one second of anything. Maybe Telecamping would have been better, but a similar, yet very superior, one won last year (with a spy telefragging an engy and simultaneously tauntkilling his sentry), so that seems kind of meh...
The problem was lack of submissions probably. Who cares about submitting replays when you can make movies?

hookyMaps. There's an idea. Maybe you could get scorpio, chojje, and possibly one other.
Actually I really like this.
Correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think there's been a Engineer episode yet, unless I missed it...
For any kind of CTF to work in general:
- The map design should discourage camping with a sentry on defense.
- It needs to be fast paced by nature, not because a timer told you so.
- It shouldn't just be a DM fight followed up by the cap. If the entire strategy is just "Soldiers kill soldiers, one scout kills the demo, the other scout caps" it would get very boring. Every class should be capable of/good at capping to diversify strategies (even med caps, if you could make it work, would be really cool to see (QF anyone?)).
- One player shouldn't be capable of carrying the team. One good scout with alright DM and solid movement capping just by running around everything would be boring.
Played on the server a bit. It's not bad, a few of the players were really good. I'll probably play on it more, if it can stay populated enough (I noticed that without StacMar and Dragula people clear out pretty quickly, and even when they're there only about 10 people were in the server :/ ).
StarzZDM iT! Would be great to have a DM server that is populated most of the day!
So to get more people in DM servers we make more DM servers? How does that solve anything? We have too many DM servers already.

I'm not quite sure why, but I read this in the voice of Zach Braff, and found it very amusing.
On topic, this looks like a really fun team to watch. :)
dogglesWhat we care about is having fun, and I happen to think Invite is where fun goes to die. That's all. Last season the teams had a 50% survival rate, and I've spent enough time there already to know why that is the case.
TBH it was the case because Mix^ was the greatest team ever put together and nothing was ever going to compete with them. This upcoming season has some of the biggest roster shakeups Invite has seen in a long time and if any Invite season is going to be fun and close, it's this one. No LG to dominate, and no Ruwin or PYYYOUR on Mix^ means they likely won't be dominating either. Br0 is gone too, and so is Chess Club. All other teams died before LAN. No teams are going to be the same as last season, so that's one big advantage you will have, and that should make you want to move while your team is good enough to at least make top 5, maybe get a LAN spot.
Personally I'll vote for whoever is most likely to stomp IM if they don't get moved up. I'm sorry if those players don't want to move up, but they can't stay in IM.
Let's face it, if what you're saying is true (that you'll get stomped in invite), then any team worse than you will suffer the same if they're moved up in your place. So we have two options:
-move the other team up, they quit when they lose, and you stomp IM.
-move you up, you quit when you lose, and the other team competes in IM where they belong.
I think the choice is pretty obvious. Sorry. :/
Now, of course, if there's a better team than you waiting to move up, then we don't have any problem at all. They'll move up and everyone's happy.
Reddit servers.
The 24 Player Lotus servers are usually at least OK, maybe 2-4 comp players on them at a time.
