fsXDpeople make site that everyone loves and comes to use alot -> sell to google overlords -> copyright check everything on site -> everyone gets pissed off but no one does anything about it
I'm trying to remember, but I think there is a US law or statue that says that if an offer to buy your company is at a certain point you have to take it because NOT taking the offer is considered detrimental to your company.
I don't think that's what has happened here, but in theory, if somebody really wants your company they could throw enough money at it to make a court force you to do it.
hookyPeople blaming Twitch for this needs to understand that they're not doing this just because they hate people. They're doing this to protect themselves against the music industry, especially the RIAA. The RIAA doesn't understand the concept of free advertisement (most of the gaming industry does, however). It was inevitable that this was going to happen, and this is apparently the best they could do. It could have been much, much worse. I'm talking zero-tolerance policy worse.
Let's be honest, if the RIAA had it's way, we'd still be on vinyl records. They are THAT dense.
manatruktruk: no more pregame music
They didn't think it through.
Find a couple of people to host pregame shows now?
Cameramen might want to look into using 2nd computers to stream and record their own VODs from that.
I've asked about the STV Cameraman myself a handful of times, but I don't think anybody followed up on it. It might be plausible.
The second idea seems interesting, but I'm not sure of the execution. Are you talking about the Streaming Computer being controlled remotely?
EcophagyGod help me I was too curious. I can upload the speadsheet somewhere if anyone wants to see the raw data/make pretty pie charts.
I would like my pie to be blueberry-flavored please.
One can only hope the announcement is they're doing the i52 TF2 final later than 10am local.
Who thought that was a good idea?
The Other Tyrone finally makes it to TFtv.
EDIT: There was no Tyrone, I am disappoint.
One of the players looks older than CBear.
Mid - Snakewater - Not too big, not too small and rewards good tacticians who make smart positioning choices.
Mid/Second Transition - Gullywash - Provides just enough of a buffer to keep teams from making greedy full-up pushes, but not enough to require more than one pick to make a move on.
Second - Badlands - Spire.
Second/Last Transition - Viaduct - Taking the House and Cliff section just bordering the point as battlements gives decent overlook of Second without compromising travel lanes.
Last - Granary - Yes it has a lot of real estate to cover, but what it allows is for multiple last-holds to be played, where other maps require one specific hold or you're asking for trouble.
Spawn Room - Gullywash - Simple, unobtrusive, most importantly it's the most balanced spawn room for competitive rollouts.
So... did anybody designate drivers...?
Next fundraiser should be to fill up that damn upward hole.
