dicks everywhere
LinKr_Also, how do you bind the back button in the loadout menu to a key?
Go to ..\resource\ui\CharInfoPanel.res and look for the following:
"BackButton"
{
"ControlName" "CExButton"
"fieldName" "BackButton"
"xpos" "c-295"
"ypos" "437"
"zpos" "2"
"wide" "100"
"tall" "25"
"autoResize" "0"
"pinCorner" "3"
"visible" "1"
"enabled" "1"
"tabPosition" "0"
"labelText" "BACK (&Q)"
"font" "HudFontSmallBold"
"textAlignment" "center"
"dulltext" "0"
"brighttext" "0"
"default" "0"
"Command" "back"
"sound_depressed" "UI/buttonclick.wav"
"sound_released" "UI/buttonclickrelease.wav"
}
Somehow, by just editing the letter after the '&' in
"labelText" "BACK (&Q)"
..you can assign/change the key for this button.
special thanks to TOO MUCH ANAL
let´s just blame the drama on Ruwin
pwny_Yo, anyone willing to tell me how to change the text for these buttons?

If you mean the text color, it should be in sourcescheme.res
BaseSettings
{
PropertySheet.TextColor "0 255 0 255" // background color
PropertySheet.SelectedTextColor "255 0 0 255" // foreground color
}
eeevansSomething that I've been working on for a while
つ ◕_◕ ༽つ
collycatI was playing with 3d class models to make a centered viewmodel
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
Here is a bunch of files that I thought fit well together and give Huds like Broeselhud or older Huds a few extra bells and whistles. No config file editing necessary, simply merge the resource folders.
Content & Credits:
basechat.res (from Whayay´s ya_hud): moves the chat into the absolute bottom left corner
hudplayerclass.res (from Intellectual´s medhud): moves the 3D playermodel to the right and fixes rotation
votehud.res (from Flux´ fluxhud): gives voting panels a sleeker look
classloadoutpanel.res (from Rays´ rayshud): gives buttons to toggle red or blue team to preview loadouts, zoom function and extended rotation
backpackpanel.res (from Rays´ rayshud): scroll through pages with A, D, forward and backward buttons in addition to direct page buttons
scoreboard.res (from Chippy´s bxhud): simple, transparent scoreboard that fits pretty much any server and gamemode
Besides unchecking that horrible button, make sure to check "enable raw input" in the tf2 options and also disable any mouse acceleration you might find there.
leonWhere do I go to enable the class image, I do not want the 3d version. Just the one that shows what class you are playing.
cl_hud_playerclass_use_playermodel 0
should do the trick.
VoloderLa_maison-snip-Since you seem to know quite a bit about custom .vtfs and VTFEdit, I was wondering if you could tell me how I could take a simple equilateral triangle png with a transparent background and make sure that the edges don't pixelate when it gets turned into a vtf. I tried using vectors but VTFEdit doesn't accept those and I have no idea which flags should be checked for that type of thing.
Although I´m sure I know way less than you might think, please go ahead and post the image and I´ll see if I can figure it out.
Holy. Fucking. Shit.
Seriously, this is one of the best HUDs I´ve ever used. It even has the little things like 3D model placement on the right, purple color scheme which I haven´t really seen anywhere else, damage indicators and uber bar near crosshair, loadout changes with the "e" button in the menu, big ammo display on target menu, the transparent loadout menus in freezecam, etc.
The only thing missing would probably be an option to cast votes from the main menu but since this is for competitive anyway, it´s not much of a problem.
Edit: after using your HUD a bit longer, I came up with a few more ideas:
- a button that executes
toggleconsole
- a button that executes
toggle "r_drawviewmodel"
- a transparent scoreboard
