Is Maks still alive?

Given the time this has had to be put together I think stream and casting is all grand.

Just because no one else linked it yet it seems. Rodney's finest part (so far) Almost Round 3 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPTtdPn-VSY

Can recommend his semi-auto biography The Mutt : How To Skateboard And Not Kill Yourself : http://www.amazon.com/Mutt-How-Skateboard-Kill-Yourself/dp/0060556196/

Also Bones Brigade: An Autobiography is a good watch on Netflix

#17 longboarding in Off Topic
DrJeremyLucky_PierrePeople that hate on longboarding because it isn't short boarding or vice versa don't know shit about what it means to be a skateboarder of any sort.
Skaters don't hate longboarding because it's not skateboarding, but because it's full of "casuals" - aka people who buy longboards just to have longboards, and not hill bombing or freestyling / doing flatground tricks.
Edit: I don't agree with the hate, but those Are the raisins why skaters often dislike longboarders.

That is fair play, but same is true of normal skateboarding, how many people do you see walking around with decks that have no grind marks on them, or even any proper wear and tear? EVEN THEN though these people are skateboarders,.. maybe it is because I'm from a time before Brother magazine and skateboards rise in popularity (again), but anyone that has spent money or shown interest in skateboarding of any sort is good by me, from the gnarliest guy ripping up a park, to the poser on his fintail (hey I own a fintail!).

If it is just good natured ball busting all is cool. Some guys don't get that though I think.

Either way... NEW MULLEN! I'm so fucking excited for it. I got an Almost Uber signed by Mullen for Christmas from my wife last year (before you ask, yes it does have two signatures on it, the print one and the actual one) and had despaired of ever seeing a new part from him. Then that new clip comes out of nowhere and WTF is that at 54sec into it.. looks like a nollie laser flip, but, switch!? Maybe...

Video is shipped on 15th September... so lets see how long it takes before it ends up on youtube. Or support : http://www.graciasla.com

Been skateboarding since the 80's (yes I'm really old) .. been long boarding since about 2000, still love to do both for different reasons. People that hate on longboarding because it isn't short boarding or vice versa don't know shit about what it means to be a skateboarder of any sort.

#90 Who is leaving? in TF2 General Discussion
WARHURYEAHFor EU we literally only have one event, I think for EU to carry on going we need more LAN events that give people a reason to keep playing the game as most teams only really keen it up at the start of the year.

I keep wondering if there is mileage in finding a LAN close to one of the hubs like Schiphol (which is also drivable for those that are not fans of flying) at the opposite side of the year to i-Series summer event. Even if we manage to get a relatively smaller than the general gaming of i-Series, maybe a 4 or 6 team invite event there. I guess "what is the prize" is the million dollar question, and there is the rub.

#24 TFTV2 Music @ i52 in Off Topic

skeej : Homeboy Sandman has a track called Angels With Dirty Faces on his album The Good Sun (last track I think)... it is great.

For those craving some other good hip hop, Billy Woods - History Will Absolve Me .

#19 TFTV2 Music @ i52 in Off Topic

Yeah with so many highlights this tournament it is odd that the inter-stream music selection was such a highlight. Nosaj Thing being played rekindled my desire to hunt out more up to date tinkly bonk electronic music (having previously been heavily involved with it and DJing it in the 90's and early 2000's).

Also the people not enjoying Death Grips clearly weren't noided.

Two Forts Radio clearly needs to happen some how :D

My little 79 Datsun Sunny with nearly complete heart transplant (that's 240bhp of SR20DET in there)

Daily driver is a Volvo C30 RDesign D4, which I don't have a picture of ... currently contemplating air ride and some 18s, but need the Datsun complete first.

Seagull Process bomb from spawn to mid was the best thing I saw all LAN ... That has to make it to a frag vid.

#228 i52: Grand Finals in Events

In that case my alternative suggestion was to make something like Bar 87 the home of TF2 or something and allow people in and broadcast from there ... some way to engage people that aren't in the community already. Otherwise it is just an exercise in navel gazing, external engagement is what will create the next generation of players.

Either way I'm sure we'll all be here discussing it again this time next year...

NymthaeOpen to suggestions here, if i55 happens, I need to know what to try and ask for.

I was going to stick this on ETF2L, but seeing as you are here.

I went for the day thinking that I'd be able to watch some TF2 on a mini stage at the venue, or at least get some TF2-ness from the whole thing, it being the only international relevant event there. In actual fact outside of the TF2 basement (which you can't get in without a black weekend pass thing) there is nothing TF2,.. it is like it isn't even there (my TF2 experience was talking to War briefly, and Kkaltuu until it started raining*).

So ... I'm thinking that a mini-stage in the actual Expo area would be a good shout. Day visitors can see TF2 being played, with the likes of Admirable and Lange broadcasting it is exciting to watch and maybe we'll pull in some new fans. The Shawshank Redemption shitty pipe dream is that crowds = fans, fans = eyeballs, eyeballs = sponsors; you put the atmosphere that is on the current mini-stage in the expo hall next to all those potential sponsors, maybe we sway some of them...

Now I'm sure the LoL and Dota stages in the expo arena cost actual money, I'd be interested to know what floor space costs, and to figure out the logistics of getting the rest together, give that the community already puts together its own mini-stage. (for extra clarification I'm talking about putting my own money in here)

*I had also gone to check the venue out for running my own events there so it wasn't a wasted day, but the icing on the cake of being able to enjoy some TF2 was stolen from me.
