i feel like the gamecube was really underrated on release and had a plethora of good games that people didnt look for.
it was also held by its proprietary disc design, limiting developer interest, manufacturing, as well as total optical storage.
its rugged and durable as hell but it had too many small missteps to find as much success as it should have.

All of us play tf2 and are pretty rich in scrap so I'm not sure that would work. a lot of tf2's playerbase were, for lack of a better descriptor, migratory. they only played it in spurts when updates came out.
the seasonal updates were a big part of people playing the game more, regardless of the quality of the update. considering that they have released much smaller seasonal updates, and also skipped some, it's no surprise that the people who play tf2 when it had updates have stopped playing, especially considering how much of a blunder jungle inferno was.
Bloodis ...the use of map only mechanics, such as sticking yourself to an invisible wall, for example on Product, from where you can gain information about what's happening in the map without being able to be damaged by enemies is not allowed.

I played tf2 on xbox. For a week i tried to get all the maps and weapons i saw people use in videos. i had steam at this point and had like 600+ hours on cs:s so i dont know why i didnt just buy tf2 (this was a couple months before the free to play update)
the tough break update made consecutive airblasts affect air strafing less, which was a step in the right direction.
however, valve decided to annul that by making the current airblast give you ZERO strafing potential. its especially noticeable being airblasted in the direction you are jumping, hitting the skybox without recourse
