#10 Open UR1 Predictions in TF2 General Discussion
KohakuI'm sorry, but did trans-autistic railroad already lose? Oh, that's right. The game isn't even over yet. In fact, it's only halftime. Does not having the lead at halftime count as a loss? Is that what you're saying? Because if you're saying that I can assure you that you're wrong. Why would you make this topic when the game is still on? Trans-autistic railroad is still playing right now and they have been the best team in open for how many seasons now? They're playing one of the worst teams in open who just happen to have a lead because they're feeding off the energy of playing in a Monday Night Game. But you know what? They still fucking suck. Trans-autistic railroad is one of the best fucking teams in ESEA, they went 12-4 last season and would have won LAN if the scouts didn't choke. Maybe you should shut the fuck up before you make retarded topics like this. You know why? Because you're going to be embarrassed when trans-autistic railroad wins and someone bumps this topic.

Sounds like sandbagging if someone is saying they are the best in open.

#1 Fallout 3 or Skyrim in Off Topic

So I'm looking at picking up either of these two games. From what I've seen on the IGN Board

http://www.ign.com/boards/threads/fallout-3-vs-skyrim.452533114/

It seems that Fallout has a better story, but is boring in terms of environment. While Skyrim has a good story, but the environment isn't lacking anything.

So, Fallout 3 or Skyrim? And why? Please help me choose :>

enigmatf2 won't die ever because it's a completely free-to-play, steam-based game that is objectively a really well-made title

the player base will always be there

Sadly, I wish I could believe that.

Saltysally1MYLESdownpourso then, whats the next big comp shooter.
as much as we'd like it to, i dont see tf2 ever being big, its just not getting enough support outside of the community.
and since shootmania seems to be a dud, where does that leave the state of the competitive shooter? in the hands of CS:GO entirely?

VALVE doesn't really support tournaments for CS:GO, they might help the competitive scene with updates, but that's it.

People want Reborn to be the next big thing. Sadly the ESR community likes to shit on anything new from what I can see, except Reborn. If Warsow gets greenlit, I hope it get's a bigger competitive scene. If not, then arena shooters are almost out of the question and that CS is the last PC fps game to be seen in competition until something new comes out.
The end of an era, rip :'(

Not really, FPS games have one thing over mobas, not so much RTS (things can be changed easily) games. All mobas have ONE map, but many characters, once that one map becomes boring to watch, and every hits the ceiling, it'll be boring to watch. I'm not saying that this will happen within a few months, but within like... 3-5 years (tf2 might be dead then, but shooters won't be). Just hope that within in those 5 years that one of us (Fog/Lange etc etc) makes a game that'll bring things back.

#1 LFT S14 ESEA - O in Recruitment (looking for team)

Hello there, so I have no full 6's experience. I was going to compete on Classic Fish Up as demo, but the team died. Tried out for another team, but had personal issues. Wow... That's about it for six's. I did play the summer HL season, and was going to be in silver as an engineer, but more conflicting issues with 6's, I currently mentor an iron team.

Roamer / Scout

Able to play any day, from 6:30-11:30(Central).

I can off class as pyro, heavy, and engy effectively. Sniper not so much. I'm also quick to learn.
At least try me out?:3

#19 IYO, the minimum hours to play ESEA-O Scout? in TF2 General Discussion
2sy_morphiendEggplant2sy_morphiendCould be drastically shortened if you no-life it or have genuine talent or find a mentor and seriously care about improving your play (demo review, asking for critique, constructive scrim atmosphere)
People say that everyone has a certain amount of innate potential or talent but seriously, has anyone ever just picked up a mouse one day with zero prior experience and been absolutely amazing? It seems like even if people jump straight to IM/invite relatively quickly after picking up TF2, they always have prior FPS or computer game experience.

I know for a fact that craig "tehoreoz" collier was born with a mouse in his hand

also MIKE became the best demo jumper in the span of like 2-3 months, and one of the best source surfers in under a year when people near his rank have spent like 8~.

MIKE mentioned that he practiced nBn for like 4 months till he could speed run it flawlessly.

Also, DaHanG had no prior FPS experience till Quake 3, he mentioned that he watched Rapha vs Strenx (might be wrong there) and that he fell in love and worked his way up to the top by playing the game for a year almost non-stop.
