This season seems to be shorter due to discussions about the possibility of summer becoming a full season. (Edit for clarification: The number of matches played is the same. The season however starts sooner, to prepare for the eventuality of having a regular summer season. It is important to point it out, as some players are wondering why the season starts so early.)

I don't think you should necessarily see it as buying a mentoring session but rather, helping out UGC/TF2 community. In return, you receive a gift that shows that they appreciate your support.
For the last Tip of the Hats event, I purchased signed items and yet, the players signing them usually do it for free.
I do agree that there should be other perks such as POVs/STVs for less though. I love watching those.

I don't know how many people would find this useful but personally, I'd love to have the primary class listed as an icon, when viewing a player's logs.
I'll sometimes look through a player's logs and only want to see how he did as class X.

I'm Mamboulay and this will be my first season in ESEA. For this reason, I'm looking for a Low/Mid Open team for S14.
I'm playing medic in Gold for Evil Beastly Minions (UGC Highlander) and in Silver for Evil Beastly Pandas (UGC 6s). I will still play Highlander during the Summer season as I really enjoy the format, but I will most certainly be able to scrim 2-3 nights a week + match nights.
I'm a pretty shy person but it won't affect my comms. I'm looking for a chill team where I will be able to learn and make mistakes.

In what context was it? Or what time in the VOD? I don't remember seeing it but looks funny as hell.
BLoodSireRumor has it that Valve was interested in buying lobby back when it was released. Floormaster said no. Later he dissapeared and nothing more ever happened. Whether this is more than a rumor I can't say for sure, but I would place my bets on it being true.
Wait... I thought it was the opposite; Floormaster wanted to sell it to Valve but they refused and that is why he stopped working on it? Rumors...
