#8 Mouse sensitivity randomly becomes faster mid game in Q/A Help
HOIThe unity editor running in the background would affect (double?) my tf2 sens on windows 10, maybe its a background application

I see. I'll try playing with the most minimal setup possible.

crespiAnd you're 100% certain about that?

Yeah I am. Tried playing Quake Live LG duels yesterday too and the mouse issue didn't happen. Although it's hard to confirm 100%, the issue only seems to be present in CS:GO and TF2.

crespiIf so, to me the only logical conclusion would be something network related causing your FPS to drop which could be perceived as a mouse issue. Can you try using net_graph 3 to monitor your network status while you play tf2? If choke/loss increase at the same time the mouse issue happens, that could be it.

It's difficult to get a good recording of this issue but I will try to capture it with net_graph on.

mvrkThis may be completely unrelated since you already mentioned how extensively you tested it but:

I had pretty much the exact same issue where my mouse would seem to randomly change sensitivity mid game. Figured out it was only happening when I was scrimming and narrowed it down to mumble being the issue.

For some weird reason my client was outdated and was causing the problem, found some github threads talking about it messing up some of the windows settings on older versions (I don't remember specifics).

Updating it fixed 2 weeks of pain.

Unfortunately, I've replicated the issue with Mumble off but I haven't tried playing with Discord off as well so I'll try that. I'll also make sure my mumble client is up to date.

NoNoeWayI thought I was going crazy. I have the same issue, I also recently started using my logitech G600.

I assumed it had mouse acceleration by default but that doesn't seem to be the case. It's a fresh mouse and my drivers are updated too. I'm starting to think it might be a problem with the newer logitech mice and the source 1 engine since I haven't had this issue with source2 so far.

Yeah it's a very frustrating issue to have but there has to be a way to solve it since so many people use Logitech mice in CS and TF2 without these issues.

Crit_Noobhave u tried plugging in some shitty mouse and seeing if it has the same issue

make sure u dont have any dpi changing keys on ur mouse

Yeah, the G403 I replicated the issue with was pretty old.
I've made sure that all DPI changing keys are disabled.

#1 Mouse sensitivity randomly becomes faster mid game in Q/A Help

I'm using the Logitech G PRO Superlight. I've been having an issue with my game where the sensitivity will randomly change mid game. It only ever becomes faster and the number in-game doesn't literally change. My sensitivity will feel faster to varying degrees - the speedup is never consistent. The weird thing is that doing a 360 when the mouse starts being like this is the same as doing a 360 when my mouse feels normal but doing smaller movements like micro-adjustments and mid-range tracking feels a lot faster which makes it a lot more difficult to control. Usually, the game starts feeling fine but at a random time during the match my sensitivity will go between feeling normal and feeling fast and slippery like what I've described earlier. I've only noticed the issue while playing on online servers. It never happens offline on maps like tr_newbots.

At first, this issue occurred while I was using my old Superlight. I bought a brand new one but the issue still persists. I've also replicated this issue on an older, different model of mouse (Logitech G403) which makes me think it's not the mouse itself. The issue happens in CS:GO as well as TF2.

I've tried many things to fix this issue but to name a few:
- Fresh Windows install
- Fresh TF2 install - following mastercoms guide to a fresh install along with a new config and hud
- Playing with and without Logitech G HUB - currently using Logitech On-Board Memory Manager only to make my mouse remember my DPI
- Different polling rates and DPIs
- Playing with the mouse wired
- Using different USB ports
- Made sure raw input and other sensitivity altering commands are all set to what they should be
- Turned off Enhance Pointer Precision in Windows settings

Does anyone have any idea as to what could be the cause of this issue? All suggestions are appreciated.

The store removed that monitor you recommended me and didnt tell me anything.

Cheaper option would be https://www.instar-informatika.hr/monitor-acer-24-xf240hbmjdpr-gaming-free-sync-1ms-full-hd/ACR%2D1477/product/

Alright, thanks a lot for the help with the build and the monitor!

Why not the BenQ XL2411Z, now sold as BenQ Zowie XL2411?
What are you looking for anything? Just 144Hz? Lightboost/ULMB? G-Sync/Freesync?

I typed it in wrong, I did mean the BenQ XL2411Z.

All I'm looking for is for it to be 144hz.

Can't afford better/more sadly.

That RAM isn't avaliable, any ohter one I could get?

As for myself, which monitor should I chose? The ASUS VG248QE or the BenQ XL2420Z?
All I want from the monitor is for it to be good for TF2 and have 144hz. Those two also fit my budget for it.

Hey, my father said he'd like a new pc so I need help with picking the parts.

He'd be using it for home use such as browsing, watching movies etc. He won't be gaming on it.
He said he wants 1TB of HDD space and a DVD drive.
Already have a spare monitor that he'll use.

Budget is 270 € / ~300$ / 2000 kn.

We'll be buying the parts from these 2 local stores:
https://www.links.hr/en/
https://www.instar-informatika.hr/

Sorry for the inconvenience with the second site, seems that they don't have a english translation.

If there is a better part that can't be found in those 2 stores, feel free to point it out and I'll see if we could find it somewhere else.

#4058 HUD editing: short questions, quick answers in Customization

hey, is there a way to remove this transparent black background from the broeselhud menu?

https://puu.sh/tk0uM/659f8d68ed.png

when i look at it with vgui_drawtree it says that its from MainMenuBG however disabling/repositioning everything with that in its code doesnt seem to work (at least in the mainmenuoverride.res)

nevermind, didnt see MainMenuBG in the mainmenuoverride.res file; disabling that worked.
