MarxistHowever, widespread discontent with government run services either because of their inferiority or delays in receipt, could cause social discontent, which in a democracy would mean loss of power for the people generally in-charge of the government
Good joke. This is true in theory, but "social discontent" stirred up by policies enacted by the current and previous administrations has yet to have any net effect on the status quo in the U.S. and to be honest, I doubt it will. Then again, the U.S. isn't a democracy.

ForbesAccording to the Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Germany has the second highest income tax burden of all OECD’s 34 countries. Of course this is not surprising considering Germany is the father of “Sozialstaat” or in English “Social State” founded in 1870 under Then Chancellor Bismarck’s reforms.
Government cannot make anything "cheaper", it just hides costs by socializing them across a populace.

2006 has been the year of the rotten Apple
Good work detective
If you're going to get a Macbook Pro, go for the retina. The normal one has a comparatively poor screen and is a worse value. You can easily use Bootcamp to use a Mac as a Windows machine.
On the native Windows side of things, the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro, ASUS Zenbook, and Dell XPS 13 are all nice ultrabooks with high resolution displays and long battery life. Granted, they only have integrated graphics, but they might be able to run TF2 (especially with a graphics config). I'll need to see if there are any gaming benchmarks for the ULV i5 processors commonly found in ultrabooks.
I would probably advise against getting a "gaming" notebook, especially with your use case heavily weighted in favor of schoolwork. They tend to be much heavier, more expensive, and have categorically worse battery life.
EDIT: I *might* be full of shit with regards to being able to game on these notebooks. Here are benchmarks for the on-board graphics found in the Macbook Pro Retina (Intel Iris Graphics 5100) and the Windows ultrabooks (Intel HD Graphics 4400).
SoapI am still failing to understand the argument that TF2 competitive is only as small as it is because no one knows about it.
I dunno dude, I played this game for ~4 years/1500 hours before I even heard that it had a competitive scene. I would've gotten involved much earlier had I previously known it existed.
Thanks dude, this is a pretty insane deal.
Very chill and relaxing. I dig it.
Great animation, but the ending is a little confusing. How is giving a stack of money to the guy who just had you drink piss a good way of exacting revenge?
Wow, that was probably one of the best Saxxy entries I've ever seen.
