What an earth would I be banned for, who have insulted / sworn at / made a crude jester too done anything other than state my opinion?

Or does tftv operate on a policy of banning those of have a minority opinion?

HI I personally feel that donation drives are an amazing idea and that these 6 people from first world countries who at least 3 of which I know have been earning money in some form of another for some time and are highly likely to win the event or at least place second and therefore win the prize money almost certainly deserve to have this paid for.

Provide some context for this. I disagree with a view point that some of you have and have expressed that in this thread all the while acknowledging good points or responding quite politely.

I am obviously not suggesting that you can work a 5 day week, study on top and compete at the highest level of tf2 and I hope that came across before. I do think it is perfectly possible to work a Saturday / Sunday job study and compete at the highest level.

It doesn't matter as such, this is the internet and this is how these things work.

Of course it all boils down to choice as I think avast pointed out happened before it all goes round and round in circles as I have proved by posting the same thing 20 times.

However it does add a little bit of entertainment involved for everyone, we have had a semi interesting conversation and I am sure lots of people have been refreshing the page to see what "other stupid things that matt guy had posted now".

Hey let's not bring up your use of dh in late night pick ups into this thread we are arguing on the internet.

I can say from experience that studying working a job and being dedicated to a hobby like tf2 is perfectly possible, admittedly I have never been on shadowburns level. However let's look at someone that is, I know for a fact that Mike has a job studies and dedicates time too tf2.

I don't find the "get a job mentality" fucked up at all but we are getting into location bias here, the situation in the uk is different to the situation in Portugal which again is different go Russia. Obviously my location bias comes into my views just as it does for everyone else.

Again people seem to think this is all about because I am mad about shadowburn getting help.

I have stated over and over my objection is that this is setting a bad precedent, first it was donation drives to get the two best American teams over to compete in the biggest international lans. Then it was for tftv staff to come and do there thing, then we had epsilon players asking to be paid to go to dream hack now we have a prem player asking us to help buy him a new PC.

It isn't crazy for me to point how things are changing in regards to what people are asking for in these threads.

As to the poor =/= lazy debate that is a huge thing to go into and I cba when I am typing in a phone. Whilst in certain situations you are correct there are very very very man lazy people who live in my country do fuck all and sponge off handouts.

I only brought up working at 13 to point out the stupid comment that "getting a job at 17 is hard" which is not true if you are willing to work.

Earning it to me is doing something more proactive than creating a thread on a forum and asking for money in return for playing mge and pick ups.

Spend your hard earned cash anyway you want and that's fine.

As much as you are allowed to do that I am allowed to disagree with it.

Genuinely think people think I am jealous of people getting paid money to play this game which couldn't be further than the truth, I wish valve backed tf2 and I wish that players were earning salaries for the hard work they put into the game and it would be super cool for that to be the case.

I personally have dedicated nearly 1800 hours into this game, I have been a runner up at an I series and was 7th place at i55, in some e sports 7th place is good enough to get some prize money so I def am not objecting to people getting paid for playing this game.

I have mentioned many times that there are donation drives that I have personally supported.

My whole point is that we have gone from getting teams to compete in the biggest tf2 competitions to buying a prem player a pc. I surely can't be the only one to think that is a bad thing.

I am not targeting anyone as such, I have always lived by the principle you earn the money you want to spend on the nice things in life, it's pretty interesting that this fact has caused so much ire.

Again I have repeatedly said if you want to donate go for it it's your money, but just as much as you are allowed to donate I am allowed to say I don't think it is right.

I "care" as such this isn't going to stop me sleeping at night I have repeatedly said that this sort of thing sets a bad precedent.

People will do what they want with their money and more power too them, and as much as you are allowed to be happy with it I am allowed too point out that I think it is wrong.

Jealous of shadow burn? Why an earth would i be jealous? I mean if I was jealous of someone's video game skills wouldn't at least pick someone who mains my class?

I would love for tf2 to be in the same level as cs go or lol or dota or hearthstone but it isn't.

I even created a thread explaining how I thought it was setting a bad precedent and that it could lead to more and more people attempting to do the same thing.

It has nothing to do with me disliking shadowburn or thinking that I am required too donate.

Genuinely amused by all the people getting so offended because I believe you should pay for things yourself and not get it handed too you on a plate.
