Strange that you did etf2l HL but not 6s given 6s is by far the larger of the 2 in etf2l.

That was the highlander challenge which was the first highlander event of etf2l.

You need to test maps to be able to know if they are good enough to be put into a main season. The cups both give us as a league, the players and the map makers opportunities to test out and give/get feedback on the maps.

Not everything we test gets into a season, we have tested far more maps than have ever been in or probably will be in a season. The fact that none of the maps got in this time around doesnt mean that they wont get in at a future date.

Where does Jon say these are the only options, he merely suggests these as that is what he has interpreted from his data. There is still any combination of weapon bans for a league to decide on. The whole point of this survey was to find out what the community thinks and try and make some interpretations from it. This survey is just a tool to help leagues make decisions not the be all and end all.

At least in etf2l we are talking to the prem players about whitelists and map pools which is one of the things we have to help inform us about our decisions just like this survey is.

Because there is a chance that noot clan or champ get back their old players. The only spot for certain is nunyas spot. I know it looks 99% that there will be at least 3 but I dont want to commit to something before prem signups are closed. Hence 1-3, it could be more if another team that has a spot makes 3 or more roster changes in offseason.

Did you read my post, I stated the teams that had a spot, then I stated that ChampGG and Noot Clan have changed too much of their roster/died to keep their spot. Did you see nunya in that list, no hence they do not have a spot in prem, if they wish to compete in prem they will go through playoffs.

This is correct, 3/6 finished 6th and retained their spot. Top5s spot was up for contention but due to the amount of spots from teams dying they got to stay

There will probably be between 1-3 spots available depending on teams final rosters and signups. Until prem signups close any number is uncertain as teams may die or comeback during preseason. The teams with spots in prem so far are Se7en, Arctic Foxes, NerdRage, ChampGG, Lowpander, Lemmings and Noot Clan. However champ and noot clan look to have changed too much of their roster to keep their spots. However until signups close nothing is certain.

in my experience mobile internet is decent for ping/speed, however where it suffers even in comparison to wifi and especially wired is in packet loss and dropping connection.

ETF2L has been around since before ESEA and has been alive since, it has outlasted several attempts to make a pay to play league in Europe. It also has more 6s teams than ESEA.

As for there being a sustainable free to play model i kind of agree, in that there is no sustainable model for a TF2 league atm, comp TF2 is declining in numbers every league is slowly declining. Maybe a platau of a small number of teams will be reached, maybe the scene just declines till it dies. But until valve/the 6s community makes a significant change comp tf2 has a limited shelf life.

New maps are never at the start of a season though, so you always have approx 6 weeks to practise a map.
